Finished work early after a long shift and the weather is raining and cold outside. I have 2 hours to wait for my bus with no other means of getting home. Sat just minding my business with my headphones in. And a member of staff asked what I was doing, I explained I’m waiting for the bus as it’s cold and wet outside. I was then told I had to leave which I refused to do as I didn’t understand why I was being asked too.. apparently the bus station was closed to anyone but mega bus customers.. this was false as there was people sat near me also and they was not approached or told to leave. I’m wearing my work clothes and carrying my back pack. Not being confrontational or aggressive genuinely sat minding my own business. The member of staff was argumentative and had a serious lack of empathy and expected me to go stand outside in the rain and cold? I catch my bus daily from here as I work night shifts. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the staff. I told him to get the police to remove me as there’s no signage to say it’s closed to anyone but mega bus customers and I was also heard at 3:25 am the previous night and not told to move or leave. When the second member of staff came over who the first one went and got he was much better and was somewhat polite.nnBut to try and kick a paying customer out of the station into the rain is disgusting and barbaric.
It's ages since I've been there, so was surprised that nothing has changed much. The stand layout is a little bit confusing, but we managed to navigate our way around. Love that the free bus comes and goes from the bus station as that was a massive help. Great little cafe onsite. Still annoys me that we have to pay to use the loos. Think there's only Ashton that has lifted the fee and we can now pee for free. However, once you've paid the 20p, the loos were in fair condition for a bus station, so happy enough about that.
Shudehill Station was quite disappointing. There were rats running around, which was unsettling, and the station felt generally unclean. What made it worse was that the security staff stayed hidden behind a screen in a small control room, which didn’t create a reassuring atmosphere. It left the station feeling unmonitored and uncomfortable. Improving cleanliness, visibility of security, and the overall sense of safety would really enhance the experience for passengers.
Pretty good, the 97 leaves quick sometimes though and the toilets cost a bit
Shudehill Bus station is in Manchester. I love the way they buid this station, architecture is really fantastic. When you go there, there are lots off screens and sign boards to navigate you. Also staffs are helpfull. so, it easy to find our bus. I enjoyed Manchester trip and this bus station
