Ganesh Temple in Wimbledon was a pleasant surprise for me. Called Shree Ghanapathy Temple, it is built and maintained by the Tamil community of Wimbledon and surrounding localities of London. It's a quite and serene place and inside almost all deities' idols can be found with the main idol of Lord Shri Ganesh. A very amicable priest helps devotees with the rituals. The temple also serves as a social meeting place for all Hindus and others who wish to participate.

We visited this temple on a sunny day of the Rathayatra chariot procession on streets.nThere were hundreds of devotees on the street and inside the temple on this auspicious day.nnThe arrangement was very well and crowd management was of high standard. There were designated places to keep your shoes and various stalls selling toys, gifts, dresses, plants etc.nnThe temple also served prasad temple food that people queued in.
Good temple,it’s a big one. As it is in a residential area in a lane, so parking is a problem for the people coming by car. Do consider that while travelling on any special occasions. Rest everything is good. They have maintained it nicely. It’s a proper south Indian vibe temple from inside.
