It’s so sad to see the two people that have left 1/2 star reviews for Merkur are the owners of the neighbouring arcade, what a crazy world we live in where people think it is ok to drag other businesses down. The staff in this venue work very, very hard to keep all Customers happy, comfortable, fed and watered, they put on party days, cash draws and 9 times out of 10 you can get a promotion where they will match your money. The effort this venue puts into customer service excellent! They know all the customers by name, what they drink and know much about their families, interests and hobbies, they listen, advise and protect everyone that walks through those doors, first visit or fiftieth you will be made to feel like a king or queen.
Always a warm welcome, staff are really friendly and take time to speak to you. Atmosphere is always good and nothing is too much trouble.

Very friendly, polite and helpful staff at this venue ,will definitely be telling my family and friends all about Merkur Birkenhead, only nipped in for a quick play and ended staying a few hours felt very relaxed and nothing was a trouble for them not like other nearby sites .

Great friendly staff, very welcoming.
I and my partner always go here and always feel welcome, the staff are attentive and very helpful but recently we have noticed since the refit they had at the start of the year it’s never paid out for us and has kind of put us off going in more than we did, I hope this changes as it's a lovely little casino to go to.
