Another lovely pub in the honey pot that is Hebden Bridge. Excellent pint of Saltaire Blond. Just missed out on the glorious Exmoor Gold. Lovely pavement seating area to the front with views to the hills.
Have been passed so many times and occasionally had the one drink. Well today we ventured in for food and was not disappointed. Just divine, delicious and delightful Sunday lunch had. Fab service and a definite return is in order.
Having a wander around Hebden and decided on lunch here. Been several times before and staff always warm and inviting. Don't often see steak and kidney pud on the menu, but you can get it here. A bit of a wait before said pudding arrived, but that's to be expected as they don't use the microwave on them. As before, it was really good.
Just has another delite with Tea/coffee and lovely homemade cake. Moving home so needed a Click and collect dinner, great choice as 3 course for a proper value, good service and I'd eat here any time. Stuffed with a smile on Christmas is what you want. Just tried another great lunch dish with proper chips..Good price as well.
What a lovely experience we had here today. The staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, rearranging tables to make sure mum was warm by the fire, even gave her a blanket too it's not that it's cold but mum is 91. All of the food we had was really delicious. A dank grey afternoon turned into a lovely warm welcoming one. Amazing staff. Thank you so much.
Great staff, nice food, typical Yorkshire pub setting, lovely stuff.
It was very busy as it was the grand national, staff served fast which was great. The atmosphere was great too. Had food here before and it's was gorgeous hot roast beef, with real chips. Will return again soon to see it it's consistent.
My wife and I just had two amazing meals here. Can't recommend the Haddock Mornay highly enough. The Mince Burger on the other hand......well.....maybe the best, tastiest burger I've ever had. One of my all time top ten meals ever. Red Onion Coleslaw was a strike of genius. We both had the same meals last week and weren't prepared to wait our usual six months before eating here again! Best pub grub around. Compliments to the chef. And the great staff too!
Today, my wife and I ate at the Shoulder Of Mutton for the umpteenth time. The service was brilliant as always, but the chef deserves an O.B.E. The Mince Burger with cheese and bacon was an incredible experience. One of the Top Ten best ever meals I've ever had. The red onion coleslaw was a touch of genius. I can't recommend this burger highly enough!!! 20 out of 10!
It’s always difficult to leave a mediocre review but despite attentive and friendly staff the fish and chips missed the spot. The fish was really good but the chips were odd to say the least. Big fat chips, crisp potato skins, bits and bobs. Not sure how to describe them but they were not good. Cold mushy peas left me disappointed. I have been here before, and the food was much better.
