Love a bit of history. This place is great, nice to have a look round on a sunny day. Highly recommend. The car park when I went was closed until the end of April 2018 due to sea defence works. Other times it's £1 an hour, you can park on nearby roads for free or just to the right as you go in for free.

A local spot of history, tiny but if you are local and the weather is good a walk along the beach is good.

Great history behind this fort, and Gary and all the volunteers are so knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth a visit!

A lovely outdoors area good for walking the dogs. Children would probably enjoy exploring the fort and playing on the beach. Be aware that parking is not free and parking officers are very vigilant in the area.
