Had a walk around the Fort car parking is free from 6pm all the way down the boardwalk, to beach huts, on the beach.. then stopped on a bridge bit with a play park on the way back to watch some trains, the photos don't do the sunset justice.. very calm and pretty in the light. Swans were out with their babies too
Gorgeous place; a pebble beach with a well-made walkway that ends near the harbour inlet. Early July we found some beautiful flowing plans, growing quite happily between the stones. Beautiful.
Long wide stretch of beach. Beach stones but sandy when you swim out and low tide. Preservation area for beach plants and Old Fort at the harbour mouth. Shame this government is allowing the water companies to pollute our seas and rivers.
During Covid 19 I have been good following Government rules strictly. I stayed at home for 5 months. When the weather turned 23 degrees I could not resist going to the beach. Went to Shoreham Beach hoping it will not be crowded. At Shoreham beach I felt safe. There was good social distancing but not everyone was wearing a mask. Children and adults were enjoying in the water. Some were kayaking, some were surfing, whilst others were relaxing. Two musketeers were hiding from the sun! Enjoyed fish and chips at the beach which always tastes better than fish and chips in the city. Had a lovely day out. A beach worth visiting. Not crowded, clean, safe and easy to park.
A brilliant walk, or run or exercise the dogs. Park near to Wide Water, Shoreham and head towards the harbour. Your find a Resin board walk on the beach. At the harbour their is an old fort dated 1847 and a memorial 1st world war one trench - learning center. Plenty of dog waste and rubbish bins along the route. Regardless of the weather a beautiful calming walk. A short division towards Shoreham foot bridge and there are cafés, bakery's, pubs and shops.
Always good specially for fishing. Or just a walk. Have a wander and see for yourself. I do not think you will be disappointed.
Beautiful and peaceful. Rocks, so remember to bring comfortable shoes and slippers! Not a lot of places to eat nearby but a lot of people opt to bring their own picnics, which further adds to the experience. No amusements however Brighton Pier is only 30 mins away. Parking can be a little difficult.
Since lockdown I've been down here a few times. Always clean. The water is clean. Nice boardwalk for a mile to the WW1 buildings. Parking is a bit hit and miss from free and a paid for.
A beautiful stretch of stoney, simple British beach. Easy access to the sea and some reasonable local shops and eateries within a few seconds walk. There is a viewing platform with a free-to-use telescope. It's not posh and there are no facilities, but it's a beautiful place for a picnic or quick swim!
It was great for walking our dog. We were further along than Shoreham beach itself we were about 0.5 mile away heading towards Worthing. It was quiet, only locals mainly walking their dogs also and just pebbles, no sand. We could see a few people down on Shoreham beach but we were quite happy being in the pebbles by ourselves Beautiful quiet place, we always take a walk away from the main beach and it is always nicer I think to find the "local beaches"
