Arrived for our stay last week and received a message with the location to our lodge which was really easy to locate. Arrived at the lodge to be greeted by a lovely gentleman who was fixing the lock on the door, he explained that the lock was playing up and will need replacing but would be fine as long as we were not to forceful with it. The lodge itself was really nice and spacious with plenty of bedroom space and the bathroom had a bath, the only issue I could find with the bathroom was no bathmat for the actual bath as it was a bit slippery when I tried to get out and I did fall over But no harm was done . The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of space to put our clothes. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay including a dishwasher which we didn't use. We had outdoor furniture but didn't make use of it as our lodge had large trees and it was quite shaded and it got quite chilly in the evening and we were out most days. The site itself is really lovely and very well maintained and a short walk through the park you can find the beach. There's a bus stop opposite the bar which was great and we spent 2 days travelling through the beautiful new forest visiting the amazing little villages in the surrounding areas. The bar was good with plenty of seating area's and a dog friendly area even though we were able to bring our Dog into most areas of the bar. Lots of alcoholic beverages available and even though the food menu wasn't huge what we had was good. As it is coming towards the end of the summer season the kitchen closed earlier than usual but this was made clear as you enter the bar. Swimming pool was lovely and as I went early in the morning it wasn't busy and there was various swimming sessions available which were advertised on the board at the main reception area. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again
We had an exceptional break at Shorefield and the most important aspect was the incredible service from all the staff, especially in the Beachcomber restaurant. Our Greyhound was also made very welcome and made a fuss of, this is a big thing to make our stay extra special, thank you. The lodge was clean and well equipped and we really enjoyed the hot tub, even though it was October. The only slight negative on the accommodation would be the sofa's, they are just too low and really uncomfortable. The whole site is very well kept and we didn't see one piece of litter during our stay. We will 100% be back and are even considering a holiday home purchase.
Lovely site, as with camping sites everywhere you see all walks of live coming together to enjoy their version of the great outdoors, the shower and loo blocks are the main thing people want to know about when looking for a campsite. You still get the aforementioned "all walks of life" using the facilities, from the guys perfecting their quiff in the mirror, to the bald guy using the wall mounted hair dryer to dry his balls after a shower. The staff still keep the facilities is a good condition for everyone to use although I tend to not use the hair dryer after the image I described. There are a good number of showers and loo's and I've not had to queue so far this trip and we are currently staying during school holidays. The other thing g to mention about the showers is they are proper adjustable showers and not the ones where you need to press a button every five seconds, to keep the water flowing. There are also decent washing up facilities and there are cloths all all sinks to try to clean the sinks down after use to keep it nice for the next user, which may seem a small thing but really goes a long way to keeping the place nice as a whole. While typing this review I noticed a guy walking round with a litter picking stick, again showing the efforts they go to to keep the site nice for everyone. Its not just the facilities that the staff also show pride in keeping in tip-top condition, but the simple act of collecting the grass cuttings after mowing makes a huge difference in reducing the mess walked into your tent or caravan. The staff also are always friendly and have answers to hand for many of the questions we have regarding the surround areas. The site we are staying at has a sister site a mile or so down the road with free swimming pools and evening entertainment too. On this site itself there is a small communal "den" with some comfy sofas and pool table and a couple arcade games, keep you k Felling too cooped up on the rainy days. Also a play park which our kids loved, to burn off some of their excess energy. All in all this site has a nice friendly atmosphere and we would certainly come back to visit again.
A fantastic caravan holiday. The caravan was spotless and perfect for 3 children and 3 adults. The facilities were great with the exception of the indoor pool changing rooms/ toilets which could be kept cleaner. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and I couldn't fault them. So friendly and accommodating. The entertainment team I must say were the best! The kids loved them, the adults found them funny and I just highly recommend this place for a family holiday. Noteworthy details: Entertainment staff at the Shorefield clubhouse were outstanding. The kids, aged 3-5 were delighted every night by the entertainment and were very sad to leave them!
Well kept site with good facilities. Great accommodation that was clean and well equipped. Easy check-in with lockbox. Good to have two pools indoor and outdoor with set sessions for families and adults. Restaurant food was good quality and plenty of options at a reasonable price. Staff were all friendly. Bingo was great fun and there were plenty of activities throughout for the day and evening for kids. Would definitely return.
I loved the lodge but it was very shady with trees. It was very clean although the settees were very low and needed stains removed and were too soft. Beds also, not the best mattress and had to put a duvet cover on from a spare bed to make it more comfortable. It was a 3 bed select + lodge. Huge area & lovely walk to Milford on sea from the site. Lots of birds & squirrels.
Went for a week in August private rental caravan. Absolutely beautiful well kept site.Because it is so big it can be a long walk to the shop on site if you are situated away from it but a lovely walk.Quite site but facilities are good.Small amusements could be bigger but the entertainment was very good.Lovely swimming pool and we booked the football court one evening. Lovely place to base yourself and not too far from the beach . Food & drinks: We bought drinks but went out for food
We stayed a week at Shorefield they do 3,7 and 14 day holidays. The site is clean and the caravans all well looked after. Swimming pool is hour slots and activities for kids can be difficult to book during the summer. We stayed on Downtown side of the site, which was a bit of a walk to the beach but close to the main sites amenities. Bedrooms are very small so be warned. You get a t-towel, washing up liquid and a bin bag all beds are made up with white sheets and we had a personal parking space not included with all caravans. Staff were lovely and despite having a few issues with how loud our neighbours were they dealt with it quickly and sensibly. All in all it was a good week close to the town of new Milton housing a supermarket and takeaway options. Sadly costing £980 for 7 days we probably won't be returning. But the restaurant was amazing yet expensive and evening entertainment was great fun.
Just spent 4 nights here and got to say was very impressed by the accommodation supreme caravan I think it was called. It was very clean upon arrival. Not that I used many of the facilities there but they've got pretty much everything you need. The onsite shop is well stocked and I've got to say I thought the restaurant was excellent. All staff were really polite and the food was delicious in my opinion. Nearby activities: It's location is perfect as only short drives to the beaches at either milford on sea, barton and highcliffe. You've also got hurst castle nearby and mudeford Quay, both good areas for taking children crabbing. 20mins to half hour drive to Bournemouth and 10 - 15 mins drive to Lymington. New forest minutes away also. You could also walk to milford on sea or hordle cliffs beach if you so wish. Food & drinks: Before coming down I had reservations for a couple of nearby restaurants but after eating in the onsite restaurant I cancelled those reservations and ate in the onsite restaurant for both breakfast and dinner during my stay as I thought the food was delicious There are obviously cafes , restaurants and pubs in the area if you prefer. Some I have visited in the past have been The Gun inn at keyhaven, the smugglers inn at milford on sea , the housemartin in barton and the Haven inn at mudeford. All do good food in my opinion but the onsite restaurant is perfect if you'd rather stay onsite.
Great location. Beautiful large clean modern family caravan. Lots to do for families.. Two swimming pools indoor & out. Tennis courts and football goals. Ideal for young families. Wee shop expensive. Great leafy location right by the pebble beach and in the New Forest. Well maintained grounds, spotless. Great stay overall, but like most UK hols, expensive !
