Lovely beach. 13.8.2022 there was an event about Jamaican independence and Southend's City Status celebration. It was very colourful. The food, music and funfair activities for the children was amazing. I had fun later cooling off in the salty water.
I love the serenity of this beach, specially in the morning High Tide and soothing wave sound is mind blowing, it’s a Clean and clear beach.
Awesome walks dogs not welcome on beach till after 30th September, great for family picnics, sandy beach so bring your bucket and spades
Beautiful beach with a lovely field just before it. Great for taking the dog for a nice long walk!
We took a drive down to Shoebury East Beach yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. There's plenty of parking, I have taken a picture of the current parking prices. Some people stayed by their cars for a picnic and others chose to take a leisurely wander over to the shop or beach. The police were on patrol to make sure no one used disposable bbq's. The sea was quite choppy but some people did venture in for a swim. There's an on site shop and also purpose built concrete bbq's, but they were behind caging during this heatwave and are temporarily out of use. Great place for dog walkers or just generally for a stroll. Definitely worth taking a drive down there and enjoying some of this lovely weather. #recommended!
Lovely stretch for a walk in the fine weather. You can only go so far because of the MOD site but very pleasant nonetheless.. no café today late January ...cuppa was sorely missed
This is a place that I found a good few years ago now & I visit when I am near the area. It is very busy with day trippers during the day & so I tend to visit later in the afternoon/ evening, either just before sunset or event after dark sometimes. It's nice to just sit on a bench & watch life pass by, very calming & relaxing listening to the waves lapping away at the beach & rocks.
Great space to chill out and take in the Estuary, parking, toilets, beach... Area was part of Shoeburyness Ranges, so there are limits to where you can go in the sea. There are occasional catering vans but no permanent facilities. Dogs only allowed on the beach between October and April. You can walk into Southend via the coastal path, which goes through the old Garrison site made up of housing and the remnants of WWll batteries, light canopies and an Essex Widlife lake.
Seculded, quiet and beautiful. A real gem, this is a place for rest, comtemplation, without the hustle and bustle of busy beaches. A couple of train stops away from Southend... few amenities in the area so bring your own supplies.
Nice beach. Ideal place for a walk with family
