The receptionist have such a rude attitude, when so ever we are early they make us sit for 30 mins and just like 10 mins late due to my infant as he is unwell they say me you are late not sure he will take it or not what an attitude this people have.
Reception are very rude and very passive agressive and definitely not helpful, my Dr requested to see me for an appointment when I saw her around 6weeks - 2 months ago. I called up to ask why, as I have seen my Dr so much recently and if I can get a call back from a nurse or even my Dr very quickly. The receptionist said I'm not a Dr make an appointment and find out... So I had to make an appointment to find out why I was requested for this appointment.... this is not at all professional basically telling me I need to spend more money before I find out and I'm actually very disgusted. My Dr did say medication renewals should be roughly every 3months. Iv been seeing my Dr every month - 2 months. I don't know if this is money gathering technique as iv never seen a Dr this much at any other practice my whole life. If this does continue I'll definitely be wanting the owner/ managing director to do an investigation when I make a complaint. The Dr's are actually very lovely, it's a shame how the reception the face of the business treat there patients, iv heard how they speak to people on the phone also when in the waiting room. I'm genuinely surprised with what they think is acceptable to say to patients, it's also concerning to see there are multiple complaints about reception. If this behavior continues I'll be seriously considering changing medical practices, which is very sad because the doctors are extremely helpful and supportive, my doctor genuinely cares for my health and always goes the extra step to help me. It's a shame that the reception are letting the place down.
Reception old lady very grumpy and rude no customers service very disappointed, I stand in-font of her for 3 mins she didn’t take her eyes of the computer then finally she did but she make me feel I didn’t welcome, I went there to see doctor for 10 mins cost me $61 dollars but I feel like they do there job for volunteers not for money. Thinking change another medicinal place.
I don’t know why, people at the reception are awful, why can’t they be a little bit of considerate or patient, every single interaction is so terrible! It’s so obvious that they just didn’t want to pick the phone, even they pick up, they wanted to get rid of whoever is calling! But they want you to make appointments through phone call! If you don’t want to work at the reception just go away! You are lucky you have a job because we are just trying to see the doctor, we are not actually going to see your attitude!
Extremely rude receptionist, I've told my partner to go somewhere else. Disappointed to see other reviews saying the same thing. Clearly, nothing gets done at this doctor's.
Literally off the phone from reception, and she was the rudest coldest woman I've ever come across. Absolutely no help "no, go to after hours" and hangs up. Disgusting attitude.
DISGUSTING ATTITUDE from the receptionist answering the phone. After being put straight on hold for ages I mean 4-5minutes is a while on hold at reception..maybe short staffed? She answered and literally said ok what do you want? .. When I asked about enrollment there she rattled off a list of names and fees which meant nothing to me as I hadn't been before and I was looking for a new gp. I went to say this but she interupted and says "shall I book you in then!?" As in hurry up.. I asked a question about coming in as a casual and she snapped that she had already explained the prices. That wasn't my question and I would feel very hesitant about trusting any business that had receptionists treating patients or potential clients like that, even if they were very busy I was just asking about availability, a list of prices isn't very helpful without context. Maybe working with customers just isn't what the doctor ordered for you.
In my opinion, the service you receive all comes down to the doctor, their knowledge and your rapport with them i.e. YMMV. I would like to recommend Dr Petra Heutink. She has an excellent manner, listens attentively and explains things clearly and thoroughly. She is a credit to her profession.
My Husband and I became a patient at Shirley Medical a year ago and have had nothing but problems since the move, both of us our prescriptions which are repeats have been wrong every time we go, then we have to go back to the Dr to get the stuff up re done, the time it has cost us to go back, then pay again at the pharmacy for the top up, and the fax that the medical has sent to the pharmacy. my fist appointment was less than 5 mins and wanted to give me all of the drugs that I had been on again, waiting time one appointment was over and hour, getting blood results back - they never rang , i would keep ringing and then not get an answer until i complained and then the Dr called me but hadn't read up on my notes and was telling me about things that should happen BUT i had a hysterectomy 5 years before. I wouldn't even give them a star for any of the service that we have had. Since then I have moved Dr's and today my husband will be too as his last appointment yesterday nothing of the above has changed. WORST DOCTORS IN CHCH
Used to be a patient here before I moved. Great doctors. Returned not long ago and wanted to sign up to the practice again. Not impressed with the reception staff attitude. Sorry for daring to ask a simple question. Won’t be back.
