Great walk and spectacular views. Great for dogs and some fresh air.
Wear good walking shoes as the ground is very uneven. There's tea rooms that sell snacks etc and a pub just before you get onto the Glen. Very nice place to visit with different walking routes. Picnic area: Plenty of benches and big rocks everywhere to sit and eat
Great place to walk and breathe in the fresh air. Many dog walkers on the day of my visit but plenty of room to social distance. Will have to come again for more real English countryside.
Wooded valley with many pathways and stream down the middle. Could probably go back several times before exploring the whole Glen. Busy but not surprising as on the doorstep of a number of towns north of Bradford. Lots of Oaks and silver birch trees and a small resivour toward the end of the woods. Recommend decent walking or welly boots as muddy. Also quite rock with lots of exposed limestone. Would recommend if in the area.
Lovely and well kept natural area with a cafe and pub at the top for refreshments. Cafe only takes cash so plan accordingly. Very dog friendly

Amazing location, fantastic geomorphology. A shirt walk up the Dobrudden caravan site to see lots of neolithic artwork. See photos.
Me and my mate loved this place when we were kids, so we thought it was time to introduce our kids to it. They loved all the rocks, the woodland areas, all the sights and sounds this place has to offer. Very well looked after and respected by the public.
Shipley Glen is a great place for dog walking and getting some fresh air. Set in the lovely surroundings of Basildon, you can walk up to the Trigg point where you can see on a clear day Leeds, Hull, Hawksworth, Queensbury, Halifax. You can walk into the woods, where there is a lovely stream at the bottom, my dog loves a dip in it! Great wildlife too if your lucky. I've seen a Heron, a Kingfisher and deer.
Very cute little train to go up to Baildon. Great service on the tram very friendly volunteers.
