Just had the most fantastic mussels at the Ship Inn. As a lone female traveller I spent an enjoyable few hours here with the dog, a book, a couple of glasses of wine and some excellent food. Everyone was friendly but kept my own space. Perfect. Thoroughly lovely holiday interlude. Would recommend

Proper gourmet food in relaxed pub atmosphere. Great food! I had the mussles with chips which were fab! And the local beer fit perfectly. Proper pub atmosphere, so don't expect a quiet dinner. However, there was a separate building which had a function room which looks like it can be used for dining.

Cramped and claustrophobic when busy inside. Looks amazing on the outside. Wonderful little gem historically. Fantastic location right on the sea as it were. Some parking further up along the side of the harbour walls but not much. Staff, average. Very little seating inside. Fabulous history attached though. You can just imagine the cellars being used by pirates for their contraband. very evocative of that era. Original beams etc. Would struggle to cater for large groups simply because the place is a strange shape internally, and very, very small once busy.

Incredible old pub. Cozy atmosphere. Sweet selection of drinks. Great ale and beautiful food. What more could you want?!

If you are lucky you might get the corner outside by the front door to sit at. Sheltered with great views. Nice pub with some local talent.
