So great to see this pub back. We enjoyed some great Welsh guest beers which is always a nice addition. We didn't eat here but menu looked good and accessible. Looking forward to going back!
Has changed massively since we last visited over a year ago. Much nicer warm setting inside. Landlord was very polite and food was amazing. A lot better than at the Sloop inn down the road
Really nice local pub. Good selection of beers, food was really nice pub fare. The snug area with the open fire was particularly nice. Dog friendly.
Friendly village pub with solid food offering - lots of vegetarian and gluten free options too! Couple of local beers on tap, board games, and a games room. The wood burner was on, and it was really cosy!
We ate here twice during our weeks stay in Trefin. We felt it has now overcome its recent problems and enjoyed our meals. A good choice of vegetarian meals. Good value sweets £4. Would go again .
Off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Good pool table and a vintage arcade game. Lovely owner and really high quality pub food. The bar still has a great old fashioned charm. Dog and child friendly.
Brilliant pub, pizza and a pint of Barry Island IPA. Tidy
Fantastic pub at the end of a nice coastal walk. As a vegan it was great to see that they offered a vegan option for every meal on the menu, with all vegan dessert options too. We had the Quorn 'fish' and chips and curry, both delicious. Highly recommend.
Nice pub in a small village. Outdoor seating area with beautiful views. They serve food but were between chef's when visited so can't comment on that.
Shame. This used to be one of our go-to pubs for many years with a lovely landlady who really cared. Sadly the new management have failed to reach her standards. We visited once, soon after they had taken over but were not impressed. Two years later we thought we'd drop by and see if things had improved. Amazed to see they haven't. A lovely August Saturday. The sun was shining, and so we sat in the beer garden. Strings of purple plastic flowers adorn the fences in an attempt to detract from the nettles and briars in the flowerbeds. Peak holiday season and no food available because the chef couldn't be bothered to turn up. The paper menus were in a pile near the bar, the top ones so dirty and tatty you would not even think of picking them up if COVID had taught you anything. Best part is they are still dog-friendly. Just mind the dog poo on the grass. There are so many other pubs around the area who actually really put in the effort and deserve your patronage. Go to them instead.
