Good Food, taste was quite smokey but well cooked burger and steak. A bit on the expensive side buti guess the place and the view are worth the price. The whole architecture has a vintave vibe and outside area is full of greens.
The last and first pub in Coniston. Good range of beers and food. Staff are friendly even when it’s busy. Traditional Lakeland pub with seating inside and out with views down to the lake.
A very hospitable place. A wonderful barmaid, who tended atently to our every need. The Sunday lunches, we all had, were excellent
Simple pub food served well, generous portions and friendly staff. Amazing views if you can you get a table outside.
Lovely place! Stopped by during holiday and visit to Consiton. Pub is just outside centre of Coniston but worth it. Food menu has great choices. We got fish and chips and the Veggie chefs special which was a chickpea curry. Absolutely delicious, can tell instantly fresh and home made. We also got apple crumbles, which were amazing and again fresh and home made. Price reasonable too for 2 courses and two drinks. Bar manager and staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. Would definitely return when back down this way again. Thank You! Emma and Angus
A great find and the place to eat after exploring the lakes. I usually avoid eating lamb, as it is a hit or miss on most places, but I am glad ive ordered it here. . it was the best I have ever eaten: perfectly cooked, homemade tasty mash and delicious vegetables. The beer from their tap was fresh and tasty. I cant wait to visit again! Also, it is situated next to Coniston lake which is vibrant and offers great views and walks.
On a wet afternoon a very comfortable and friendly pub serving plenty of ales and food. The pub is dog friendly and very cosy. Has letting rooms but not in a position to comment on them as never stayed there.
Lovely friendly staff. Great food at great prices and dog friendly! We stayed here 3 years ago under the previous owners and am happy to say its still just as a friendly and welcome place.
Attractive pub in a pretty village. Not great Guinness
