Visited this pub while staying at the Premier Inn for 3 days. We were made to feel very welcome by Tracey and the team, who were really friendly and helpful. We soon got to meet the local customers in this very friendly pub and had a fabulous time. We are already planning another visit. Thanks for being so welcoming!
I don't think I will find a better restaurant for the price. A decent chain pub that's very clean, lots of choice on the menu. Staff are friendly. I have to make reservations for the food quality but for the price can't complain.
Was surprised by the tastiness of the meals here. Had the katsu curry and enjoyed it. Lost a star as another meal I saw looked like it had quite a small portion. But the staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us considering we had booked ahead for a birthday meal.
I never do pub reviews as the food is generally mediocre but you know what you're getting. Went tonight and the baby's sausages were cold in the middle and my wife received the worst rump steak I've ever encountered. This isn't even an exaggeration. 90% of it wasn't even edible and I can get through a tough steak. The staff were lovely and changed the sausage to nuggets which were hotter than the earth's core but their food was pretty shocking unfortunately.
Food sandwiches was fine. I ordered a point of ale nice but I also ordered a coffee and was told it would arrive. Five minutes later I went to the bay to ask and the woman admitted she had forgotten and would do it now. I walked back to our table and looked back to ser that she was serving the next man with four drinks. I went back another five minutes later to see her taking other people's food to tables. I asked another bar worker about my coffee and was told that she had to serve food but would be doing it now. A few minutes later it arrived. We felt very undervalued and our lunch was ruined.
Great food and service, it's busier than it used to be several years ago which is a good indicator. The disabled parking bays they used to have near the entrance have been used for external seating and tables but not replaced as far as I'm aware, which isn't great if you have poor mobility.
I don’t know who decided that burgers needed beef dripping sauce but I can most certainly agree that they do. Omg the food here is delicious, every time I’m ever in Liverpool this is my chosen venue for food!
Absolute shambles of a meal!! Ordered posh fish and chips. Chips cold and like cardboard, returned with the waiter with not even a word just took the plate and went. Came back with cold fish and peas!! Returned again and cancelled my order. My wife ordered chicken breast burger, it came out as plain chicken breast with vedge and potatoes. When that finally arrived, other members of our party had aleady finished.
Only issue was time we had to wait for our food as they were very busy. It was lovely tho . Staff were so friendly and efficient . Looking forward to going again x
Go once a week with some friends and after the main body of people have finished eating we find a nice quiet area and take guitar lessons. No one objects and the staff are very willing to put up with us.
