Had big problems with my Lambretta after having a mugelo 185 kit fitted elsewhere. One day with shiny ,problem found . rectified.sorted could not be happier

I’ve used Gary a few times in the past, but won’t use him again now. He has previously fitted an RT 225 kit to my lambretta and dynoed it for me which was a good job, and he also sorted out a long-standing gearbox problem for me on the same Lambretta which was also a good job. However, approximately 18 months ago I asked him to weld a rear ‘stand’ strut onto a GP 150 frame for me and he did a terrible job and left me out of pocket. He first removed the damaged stand strut and them made a jig to align the drilled holes on the new stand strut with other drilled holes on the front strut. Looking down from above they aligned perfectly. However if you looked down the frame tube from front to rear the stand strut he had welded on bent upwards on both sides and was completely unaligned with the front strut and the rear footboard supports on the frame. I took it back to him and showed him the obvious problem. Whilst with him I ran a straight piece of wood from the front strut to the rear footboard supports and the strut he had welded on interfered so much in the alignment that there was a gap of approximately 2 inches between the bottom of the wood and the top of the rear footboard supports. His answer to this was, “well it’s a lambretta isn’t it.” I left his workshop with the frame to get a second opinion. Following the second opinion I contacted him to say that I wasn’t happy with what he’d done and he sent a text to my mobile phone in block capitals asking if I wanted a full refund which I did. I subsequently provided him with my bank details and awaited the deposit. He charged me £130 for the welding, and the new stand strut had cost me £60+ . The total price was just under £200 and over a year later I still haven’t had a penny from him. Untrustworthy. I’ve since taken the job to another scooter dealer and bought another strut and it is now welded on precisely and correctly.

Do not use not a clue what he is doing did an auto conversion for me none of the parts I wanted were fitted and the whole thing was a rushed bodge Took it to JB tunning for an engineers report and his words were total death trap !!!!!!!!! Avoid

Always a pleasure to give him hard earned money to have the scooter on a Dyno , reminds me coming back soon I have a new exhaust for the GT240

I would leave a 0 star if I could total con artist not a clue what he is doing
