Managed to get a same day appointment for my dog who had hurt her leg during zoomies at the park in the morning. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. My dog is a very nervous rescue, and the staff here were super gentle with her. She's now on the mend.
My dog had a grass seed stuck in her ear and was in a lot of pain. I phoned the practice and was given an appointment within an hour from the call. The vet and receptionist were so helpful and lovely. I’d recommend this practice to all pet owners in the Hampton area. Reasonably priced too! The lady at the reception even helped me to get my dog in the car. Absolutely outstanding practice!! Thank you Sherwood Vets! My dog is now very happy and pain free

Had to weigh my dog myself. Only needed claws clipped and teeth checked. 13 year old dog not used to vets. I was given sedatives to give him at 9.00pm the night before and 7.00am on the morning before his appointment. My dog is fast asleep at 7.am even without having gf and a sedative the night before. Let alone trying to get 4 pills down him. Cost me £6o.oo for that 10 min session where his heart was listened to. Including tablets. I couldn't do it and no refund for it tablets. I've tried pets at home , they couldn't manage him . Vets was my look at resort . I had a dog before like this whose claw snapped inside the sheaf. It cost me £250.00 to have that sorted . The vet was my last resort. I'm walking him on concrete everyday but as he's older he doesn't wear them down so much.
Such an understanding caring vet surgery, always reliable. Our dog is not the easiest to treat as he can be very nervous but they always make sure he is treated calmly.
My first time I took my kitten to sherwood vets and i must say all staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Lovely team Extremely happy that I found a good vet. Highly recommend

Sherwood Vets are the best. I have been taking our animals to the Hampton branch for years. The whole team are great and give the best care always. They are very reasonably priced and never advise unnecessary treatment unlike some vets. David Platten is amazing. He treated my dog Milo for diabetes years ago and what i was most impressed with was David’s honesty and straightforward talking, which i really appreciate. Our cat Lulu has immunity problems and David takes so much time to explain everything in detail and is so obviously passionate and deeply caring about his job and the animals he cares for. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Sherwood Veterinary Clinic with our cat. The behavior displayed by the veterinarian left us feeling frustrated and concerned for the well-being of our pet. During the visit, the veterinarian, exhibited a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. Instead of providing a thorough examination or offering any potential solutions, immediately labeled ourcat as inherently aggressive, suggesting that her behavior would only worsen over time. To my astonishment, they even made inappropriate comparisons to sociopathic tendencies if our cat were human. Despite this lack of service, I was billed for a consultation that simply did not occur. This not only reflects a disregard for ethical practices but also a blatant disregard for the financial well-being of their clients. Furthermore, the appointment itself was marred by a significant delay. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, but the lack of communication or updates regarding the delay added to my frustration and wasted valuable time. As a loving and responsible pet owner, I had expected compassionate care and a willingness to explore alternative approaches. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The lack of empathy and understanding shown by veterinarian left me feeling helpless and uncertain about the future well-being of our cat.
Amazing people work here. From the moment you walk through the door you know your pet is in great hands. Can't recommend them enough. Updated: Visited again this week - they are still amazing!
