A fantastic district court. Judges are spot on.nnThe building is modern and well lit.nnImprovements could be made to the custody suite. The blankets are itchy and the matresses are not that comfy. I recommend a simba mattress.nnThe food is ok, obviously not Michelin star quality but edible.nnThere is a court clerk who’s very nice and she wears nice high heels.nnThe entrance of the court house could do with some attention. Quite tired and grubby looking.nnI’m quite disappointed that the court has no dress code. Both defendants and witnesses are turning up in tracksuits and even shorts. The dress code for men should be Lounge Suits and for ladies , anything with a skirt and heels.
Court cell staff are brilliant get on with them well whenever ive been thrown in them haha few judges are not nice so watch out if you end up here like myself lol
Worst court in Ayrshire and when it comes to sentencing theres no consistency. Sheriffs Alistair Watson abusing there powers and leaving individuals in hardship and stressful times especially when the justice system is needing looking into, Not the first time this individual has been mentioned in a review. Costing tax payers money for prision sentences when theres worse cases Example Drink Drinking and Being intoxicated with drugs while driving, Death by dangerous driving getting community payback orders and unpaid work orders and a 12 month ban and lets be serious Ayrshire is not the place it used to be for job opertunaties few and far between to be frank especially when most jobs requimements need you to pass a PVG or a criminal back ground check. Jobs requireing specialist permits to allow to carry out duties for work. No sence in justice.Bring in performance reviews and annual job inspection for judges/sheriffs.Wish you could give a zero star rating my advice spend less time focusing on the wig and have a look at the outside and whats happening in it, The world had less in it now and not as good as opportunities as you think

The staff are very caring and helpful, The phoning department was a long wait 2 hours then got hung up on, but recalled to a nice lady and she solved my issue in minutes I'd advise you know what department you need directed to otherwise you might be put on hold a very long time.
