Now the potholes have been filled in it's much nicer to pop down to Shep Whites for a walk
What a great walk! The car park is a bit bumpy yes, but I took my car and got out in one piece, it's not that bad... Bonus about this walk is you can get right down to the sea without disturbing wildlife on the marshes. There's a path by the inlet. Careful with your dogs as it's muddy and they could slip into the sea. Saw lots of House Martins, Swift's and a pair of Eegrits.
Very rural location Miles from anywhere.. has a walk along the bank top an hunted a few WW2 pillboxes too.
Very nice place to walk when it's not to windy. There is fresh gravel drive off the single track road to a grass parking area. There is room to park on the gravel in wet weather. The RAF actively use this area for aircraft weapon training. Walking a short way to the east of the carpark will take you near the range tower and a warning flag. I was recently able to observe a Chinook firing a mini gun at a distant target.
Great place for dog walks. Lots if wildlife including seals. Plenty of parking , never busy. Beautiful see view. Can see the helicopter snd plane bombing on days when flags are up too
This is the car park convenient for viewing the Holbeach RAF firing range. After driving down narrow farm tracks it's a pleasant surprise to find a large parking space. It's free to park. Aside from long walks down the embankments there is a river and a WW2 pillbox to explore.
Just a lovely place to take a walk
Nice place to walk, car park is however not a good description. Access via rutted and extremely pot holed single track road to small area of dubious surfacing grass and rubble. Not really suitable for small cars unless you really want to test your cars suspension. Nice walks around the southern Wash marshes.
Not really a car park! More a very pot holed piece of land used to park cars. Access is via a single track road which turns into a muddy, pot holed track. Steer clear in winter/heavy rain unless in 4x4. It is free tho and the walks are outstanding!!
Not so much a car park more a gravelled area and scrubland. If you’re into pill boxes there’s two almost next to one another. Public pathways to the east and west and a great area to walk a dog.
