Set in a beautiful location, this quirky tea room serves lovely food so don't be surprised that is busy especially at weekends. We had English breakfast and a scone which is the best I ever tasted. Lovely service too.
Cute little tea room but lacked atmosphere. Cakes were ok but overall we were a little disappointed with the visit as we had been intending on coming here for some time. Very small, which is typical of tea rooms to be fair. Glad we visited but unlikely to return.
We booked a table for 13:30, when we arrived the young waitress had no idea what we were talking about saying nobody had booked. She said they were too busy, then decided we could sit upstairs, we stood there for around 30 seconds expecting to be shown as we'd never been before. She then said kinda aggressively that there was a table upstairs again. Pretty weird. Once we were seated it took a while to be served. The young waitress couldn't get our coffee order right. Cappuccino and americano took three attempts! The table was filthy even after she cleaned it. The food was expensive and average. Took too long to be served. Beautiful location... weird cafe! Whilst waiting to pay my bill, I was hit on the shoulder with a plate. No apology!
We really loved it. The location is great, service very friendly. The scones were delicious, we even took some home!
We sat outside and had tea and delicious sweets at this Tea Room at Chilham Castle Estates. Very enjoyable.
Brilliant place and absolutely the most delicious and biggest scones I have had in my life!
Great cream teas, lovely sandwiches and cakes and a good pot of tea, friendly staff and good service.
Really friendly nice refreshments very polite and friendly staff and villagers very friendly worth a visit
At the moment they are only doing take away food and drink, but you can eat it outside on the tables provided. We had a cream tea, which had 2 massive scones, cream and jam, all really fresh. When it does fully reopen, it's a quaint, characterful building in a beautiful traditional English village square, that has been used as a film set on many occasions.
The lovely owner saved me 2 cream teas and so kindly left them in the pub for me as we couldn't get to them before closing. My freind was at the hospital. The scones were gorgeous and the cream and berry jam scrummy! Thanks so much!
