The staff were very friendly, happy and helpful. I had a lamb and mint pie with sweet potato mash and it was delicious. My partner had the chicken ,ham and leek pie and enjoyed that too. A bonus was the great background music. If we lived closer we're on holiday here we would definitely go again.
Superb little restaurant with great service. Waitress informative attentive and cheerful. Steak and kidney pie rich moreish densely packed with tender chunks of beef generous pieces of kidney and sublime gravy. Horseradish mash creamy grainy lumpy just like mum used to make. The original comfort food. Minted mushy peas good and a Yorkshire pudding that Yorkshire would have claimed as one of their own. Wife had the bangers and mash and said the sausages were firm and meaty a really good sausage. All washed down with a pint of Woodfordes Bitter. All this for half the price of a tank of petrol for ref less than £1 a litre currently. Everybody in the world should try this place it is excellent.
What a terrific find Shelley's is. If, like me, you can only eat gluten free, then this place is heaven! A whole range of gluten free pies and gravy or liquor. I was like a kid in sweetshop! I don't know anywhere else that does gluten free food like this. The waitress was brilliant too, friendly, informative, efficient, chatty. I will definitely be back!
I had chicken, husband had steak and ale. We both loved the pies.with the Gravy and mushy peas Can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.. Nice, friendly staff. Ensure you are there by 8pm, the restaurant does not stay open late which is normal for Cromer.
Thank you, Shelley and your team. My new husband and I had our wedding reception here and the amount of work Shelley and her team put in was tremendous. She was very accommodating. Everyone loved the pies too! Five star service and food.
We paid out first visit to Shelley's pie and mash this week as a birthday treat for me, and what a treat it was, the staff were lovely, the resident dog was lovlier and the food was even lovlier. Can't fault this little gem in anyway, fantastic value for money and just the right side portions. We will certainly be back!
NOW NO LONGER TRADING, SADLY. Real pies, real local potato mash and real nice people. Family eatery, licensed clean and easy going. Would highly recommend if you're a Londoner, you'll love it too.
A very tasty way to end our holiday. Loved the fairy lights, staff very friendly and pies delicious. Wish I d been brave enough to try the liquor.
Really tasty range of pies, and they cater for Vegetarian and Gluten-free too - the GF sticky toffee pudding is to die for!
