Went to get air in my tyres. Paid £2 into pump machine and got nothing in return. Went in to get help and was told it didn’t work because I hadn’t paid the exact amount of £1.50 in. The machine said that minimum payment was £1.50. It did not say that you couldn't put more than £1.50 into the machine. I only had £2 with me at the time. The attendant made out that the machine didn't work as I had put the wrong amount in. This was not the case. The machine should have worked anyway.nnGot no attempt at an apology, an offer of refund or anything to put this right. So paid £2 for nothing other than aggravation and daylight robbery. Was a regular at this garage. Won’t be back. I do not pay for disservice at a service station.nnHave since been told that the Air Pump is not the responsibility of the garage and that I should contact the Air Pump Company to sort this out.nnMaybe the owner of the garage should contact the Air Pump company to deal with defective equipment on the site? Maybe the staff at the garage should be more proactive in dealing with this instead of passing the buck?nnI'm not the only person who has had this experience.
The assistant was very pleasant and courteous.
Beware, the air machines! We put a pound in not realising it was £1.50 we went to enquire from the shop where we where duly informed we had lost the pound, even if we put another 50p in to start it. They refused to give us our money back! The attendant telephoned the manager who was swearing profusely and abuse over the telephone, we felt sorry for the attendant. Another customer in the shop heard the manager swearing and shouting abuses at the attendant and us and he said, 'Who the hell is he talking to?' It was horrible and uncalled for!nNeedless to say the manager refused to give us our lost one pound back! The employee disclosed we where not the only ones to have lost money on these air machines! And the manager refuses to refund customers money back, so he must be fraudulently pocketing all the customers lost one pound coins.. I want my 'One pound refunded' and an apology for the managers abusive and foul-mouthed rant! UnacceptablenSHE'LL WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS 'THEIF'! 'nAdendum: The issue is with the manager of the store! THE LINK YOU PROVIDED IS NOT RECOGNISED. I SUGGEST YOU RESPOND TO ME ASAP OTHERWISE I CONTACTING MY LOCAL NEWSPAPER ABOUT THIS MANAGER & YOUR APPAULING TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS! I'M CERTAINLYNOT GOING TO GO-AWAY, NOR LET THIS GO!
5 Dec 20:50. Main door closed. I tried to buy a lighter at the serving hatch. The lighter I was given did not work! The Asian man refused to change or refund. I left the lighter with him now this place has lost a customer through no customer care!
No suck in vacuum cleaner. Wasted £2. Won't be going again. Attendant wasn't interested in giving me a refund. This petrol station used to be good. Not now.
