Wow. Had the calamari to start, which I get at most places, and this was easily one of the best I've ever had, right up there the venison burger was also delicious and the meat is locally sourced. The staff were very friendly and good at their jobs. Would definitely recommend!!
Very nice food. And good service too.
A fantastic quaint bar . Absolutely great service and a good menu for choice. Pork belly starter was so succulent. The lamb main course was so tender and the portions were adequate. Well worth a visit if your in the area.
A very tasty lite lunch, soup & a sandwich, home cooked ham as thick as the bread! Just as we remembered it from last year, would defiantly recommend.
We were lucky to get a table on a busy Sunday night and so glad we did. We had a sharing platter followed by locally produced sausage and champ mash with balsamic onion gravy. Both were delicious and the service excellent. Definitely wise to book as it does fill up fast
Busy and observing all Boris's protocol. Standing on one leg while reciting the second verse of the national anthem-backwards, etc. Hats off for producing great food and drink. Great work team.
This is a lovely place for a wee snack lunch or dinner. First visit 're covid and 're opening. No checks 're address ,telephone number. Toilets needed attention snack ie coffee and scone okay .A long standing popular location in the centre of Ambleside.
Impressive, varied menu. Food delivered in very reasonable time, with excellent, polite staff. The halloumi starter was to die for!
Good, well cooked and reasonably priced menu. Only wish the menu changed a little more as it looks very familiar each time we come and visit.
Excellent food and service. Dog friendly on the lower floor. One of the best restaurants in Ambleside well worth a visit
