Fairly standard train station this. No ticket gates as it acts as a thoroughfare between the Park hill area and the city centre as well as a station.nnYou can get trains from here to a lot of other places including London, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, York, Liverpool, Leeds, Lincoln, Grimsby, and Meadowhall.nnI'd recommend some of these destinations but not all of them. Do with that what you will.
Sheffield Station is a really nice place. It's clean and feels so open and airy, which just makes a difference when you're traveling. The facilities are all decent too, with a great selection of places to get food and drink so you're not left wanting anything.nnWhat really stands out though, are a couple of things in the main foyer.nnThere's this great taxidermy otter on display it's a bit quirky and you definitely won't forget it.nPlus, they have a piano, which is brilliant. You often get someone playing, and it just makes the whole place feel a bit more relaxed and welcoming.
A fabulous Grand style Railway Station for Sheffield. Roomy, breezy, seating all over, plenty of choice. Vending machine, cafe on most platforms. A welcoming Station to continue your journey.
I love this train station, very well organised and clean, and they have so much you can do, very practical, and helpful. I would definitely recommend..!
Great station, only issue we found is toilets were lacking on platforms, especially for those with kids. Took a good 10 mins to find an empty toilet.nnStaff were mega helpful and helped confirm our platform within minutes!
