Tasty food and fresh. Shawarma King is the bomb! Their shawarma is seriously good, super fresh and packed with flavor. Freshly baked bread is a game changer. Menu is banging, so there is so much choice. Definitely check it out!
Seems like Phil was too hungry when he visited this place that it masked his taste buds.nI visited today 13/04/2024 with my family from Aberdeen and took them straight there.nThere is no parking space outside all the way double yellow line.nThe place is pretty small and tight and it took us at least 20 minutes to get three wraps.nnAnyways I ordered for myself the beef shawarma. Reached back to my hotel opened the wrap and started eating. After couple of bites I did not experience any flavours bursting etc. there was nothing like something extraordinary. Bread inside was burnt and giving a bitter taste.nnOn the 3rd bite I discovered that there was no more beef but chicken started and it lasted till end despite the pack marked as B with a red sharpie see photos.nnReally disappointed at the quality/flavour even if I leave out chicken in a beef wrap.nnPrice wise it’s ok however if one is looking for quality/flavours/taste I won’t recommend
I agree with one of the other reviewers that Phil must have been really hungry when he visited Shwarma King.nnOn a 3-day visit to Glasgow, this was our first stop.  It was about 3 pm, and about a dozen people were waiting outside in the cold, blocking the entrance. At first, we thought it was the line to order until we asked one of the folks, and the answer was no, they were waiting for their order.nnMade our way inside and ordered a chicken wrap, a lamb wrap, french fries, a can of coke, and a yogurt drink costing about 20 pounds, which was very reasonable.nnThe place is literally under the railroad bridge, and there is no seating inside and only 2 tables outside, which were occupied. Even if there was a table, we would not have sat there to eat as the atmosphere and surroundings are somewhat seedy and not pleasant.nnAs for the food, the chicken wrap was good. However, the lamb was gristly, chunky, and tough and was not true shaving as it should be.  It was okay for one time but would not go back.
Too much ingredients but lacking sauce.nIt’s bland.nComing from Saudi Arabia, I have high standards for shawarma and this one is not really good compared to what we have in Saudi.nnThe service is also very slow. There was a long queue but only 1 guy was preparing the food.nnWill never come back.
Actually IS the best shawarma in Scotland!! Very tasty and generous portions.nIt's a tiny takeaway under a railway arch and if it's busy, it can take a while to get your food up to 25 minutes you order from the miserable guy at the counter, get a ticket and wait.nWorth it though!
