Great food absolutely amazing service - they get the order right first time every time- The view of the Henley river from the deck is amazing - they open early so really great place for breakfast if your mountain biking
One of the best food I have had recently. Staff are super friendly and helpful taking care my dog I brought alongside. Definitely recommended and I will surely revisit in the future
A Lovely Bistro We have been fans of the chef since he opened 5 years ago. With this re-launch of the popular restaurant we see a new menu, and a new decor. But the same outstanding cooking. We started with a 3-way starter: we shared the smoked salmon, the burratta salad and the oysters. ALL were fine - the burratta and oysters were even better. My main was a rib-eye which was cooked perfectly. For deserts my wife had a HUGE creme brulee and I had a chocolate/banana dish -finished off with an excellent Expresesso Martini one of the best I've had here. All in all, a wonderful dinner at a fine restaurant. We had a great welcome, a nice bottle of wine and a fine meal. We SHALL return!
Service and location are exceptional, service fairly formal. Food technically excellent with some interesting flavour combinations and unexpected textures. For me though the food lacked an 'edge' to set it apart, still perfectly acceptable as was the bill for this very well run restaurant.
Fine dining. Cozy, smart restaurant. Lovely decor. Good service. Amazing food and service. Images show our choices for the evening. We visited 16 March 2018 in blizzard weather. Staff were excellent and attentive. We had good conversation with the owner/chef, Shaun. Loved to hear his passion for food and dining.
Staff are so lovely and welcoming! Very quick service with a smile. Only stopped for a drink and a light bite but really really nice stop, highly recommend :
You can expect an extraordinary menu with the very best local fare. Choices of a tasting menu or a la carte, they also have daily lunch special. Reasonable prices and high standards of service.
This was a very good restaurant! W had a party of 5 and all enjoyed our meals including the gluten free fish and chips. There were a lot of kids for some unknown reason so it was a bit loud, but it wasn't unmanageable.
Food is really pretty good but the service is absolutely appalling. No interest shown whatsoever and when the bill had an extra glass of wine added to it no apology or recognition that this was a mistake.
You may think that by having such a prime spot on the river they could get away with average food, but that isnt the case at all. A real surprise and in the top 3 chips I've ever eaten. Delicious salt beef baguette and chips with a pint. Very reasonabpe too and solid portion sizes. My one small criticism is that the salt beef baguette could have done with a bit more meat in but the bread was so crunchy and sauces so delcious I really didnt mind that much.
