Consistently good extensive menu at sensible prices and well presented. Nice helpful staff. Will give the ladies a chocolate great at the end. Parking outside is a bit tricky so give yourself an extra 10 minutes.

My friend and I had booked a table. When we arrived we were put on a table that had not been laid up. A couple of serviettes and some cutlery were thrown at us. We were then given a plate of poppadoms and ignored. We had to ask for menus and drinks because no one offered them to us. We had to choose wine without seeing a menu. They then ignored us again until we had to ask to order our food. Other customers were arriving after us and were being served before us. When our food eventually came my vegetable byriani had sweetcorn and a Brussel sprout in it. We were not asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. However, the advantage of being ignored was that they were taking round a box of Roses with the bill and they left it with us! The only redeeming feature of the meal.was that we were offered a complementary drink after our bill and were given a box of malteesers each. None of this spoiled our evening, though, and we will both be telling the story for quite some time.

Highly recommended. Have been coming to Sharod for years. Always made to feel welcome by the staff.
