Solid spot for Indian, excellent variety of dishes and truly great service. Lots of options and I really like the mushroom fried rice with my balti curry special. I just wish the food was a little less salty. Good for a large group who want some beers and a curry.

We ordered two veg starters one of which was allu chat. Unbelievable that the restaurant served veg gravy on top of salad and called served as allu chat.its not allu chat it's allu cheats. The other veg options were equally horrific, frozen vegetables put in to tomato base and put butter on top to make it veg makhni. Never ever again. Vegetarian options: Completely dismayed. Very few options,and those are not even close to call it Indian curry. I suspect fake reviews have rated this restaurant so high.
Worst Indian food you can get in the area, well being an Indian myself, I don't think you can call it Indian food. Saag paneer was served as Spinach and melted cheese. Photos attached Veg Curries were extremely sweet and Naan was so hard. Maybe the ratings they got was when the management was different, so please don't trust the 4+ rating you see here!!
We recently visited your fine establishment pursuing a fine and classic Indian gastronomic experience. We were lucky to be catered for by a great bunch of staff. The food was a dream. Can't fault a thing. Price, portion, hygiene, service. Noticed they also did a delivery service and even that seemed organised and efficient
I've been at Shapla a few times and the food is unforgettably amazing! The service is excellent and hygiene is 5 stars! Staff are very friendly and they also got vegan options which is very nice. Me and my friends enjoyed it a lot! I suggest people who come to visit Woodbridge dine in Shapla you will never be disappointed.
Visited Shapla with my children and sister two nights ago and we all loved it!! The staff were friendly and the manager spent time explaining the different flavours. I was unsure what to choose so he offered to make something based on my preferences. Delicious. There wasn’t much left over but I didn’t want to leave it! So I took it home! Definitely worth a visit. Best Indian I’ve found locally. I’ve read some of the other reviews and can’t understand how unkind people can be. The pictures of the food look scrummy and I’ve been going to the Shapla for over 9 years and never had any issues. Some people just love to have a good moan about everything! DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!! My most favourite restaurant Dietary restrictions: My youngest daughter is coeliac. This wasn’t over looked. The manager made sure the kitchen were aware and paid special attention not to cross contaminate any products. This is the first time I’ve taken her out and she hasn’t had any repercussions. VERY IMPRESSED
Worst restaurant I ever been too. We ordered chicken and lamb biriyani tikka and normal ones and none of them were good. Meat was not cooked at all and was chewy and disgusting. We ordered many other food items too including naan, aloo chat etc and none of them had any taste of Indian food as the restaurant claims its Indian food. We did report about undercooked meat to the manager and he was in defensive mode stating people normally eat meat raw in biriyani which I don’t get either. Find somewhere else to dine in, it’s not worth your money.
My favourite curry house in woodbridge! staff are very friendly and food was incredible, came here with some friends after a night out and the service was very fast and the waiters were very attentive. definitely recommend. 10/10!
