We go here occasionally as its walking distance, chicken is always soft, cooked very well. Japaties are lovely and thin, sauce smooth. However its ALWAYS too spicy hot, even though we ALWAYS ask for mild hoping to get medium. We would get food more often but it s too spicy or it would have got 5 stars.

First time order; Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Sizzling Karahi, 12" Garlic Margherita and 12" Create Your Own Pizza Chicken Breast, Ham, Pepperoni, Salami and Peppers. We also got a salad, two small tubs of mint sauce and two lemon hand wipes, which we presume are freebies.  Let's get the negative points out of the way; the portion size of the curries is a little small for the price £7.45 with Chappatis. The Chappatis are so thin you can see light through them please see the picture. I have removed a star because of portion size against price.  Chicken Tikka Masala was extremely tasty and the chicken was tender, probably one of the best takeaway ones we've had in a long time. Lamb Sizzling Karahi, my go-to curry if it's on the menu and will always go with the addition of spinach. The Shama didn't disappoint on the taste, although a little spicier than I would normally have, I should have guessed this from the Sizzling Karahi :-. Although the Chappatis were thin the skill to get them that thin and still not split when used, has got to be admired!, the three of them was just about the right amount to the portion of curry and they did the job well.  12" Garlic Margherita, wasn't greasy as most takeaways use garlic butter, but not The Shama, it tasted like they had used crushed garlic as it tasted of garlic! 12" Create Your Own Pizza, had everything that was asked for but for some reason didn't have a huge amount of them, so wasn't as tasty as we were expecting for the price. It was a little greasy, but that is expected as it was mostly meat. The base on both pizzas were a little thicker than I would have liked, but they were soft, as were the crusts.  The salad consisted of one slice of cucumber chopped in half, two wedges of tomato which might be half of a tomato and the rest of the box filled with onion, although not much of a salad it all seemed very fresh.

Disgusting food. They scored 1 star for their food hygiene. Its even on the news. Wouldn't recommend to anyone if they value their health

First time we have ordered from here. It was amazing! Fresh tomatoes  and chillies . Was not greasy like normally get from take outs. Got to think after this it will be our favourite. Really enjoyed the food

My daughter has been ordering from here for a while and highly recommended it to me while I was visiting from Dorset . The chicken madras is absolutely amazing,  my son had cheeseburger and chips and rated it quite high. Would definitely order from here the next time we visit. Well done Shama it takes a lot to impress me !

Bad value for money and average food. Some of the food was ok, portions were either tiny or ok in size but not too tasty. Thin burger bun made it hard to eat the burger. "Salad" was actually a container of chopped white onions plus two slices of cucumber and two pieces of small tomatoes. Chips were alright. Samosas - there were 2 samosas 2 inch each... Chicken nambali - some dry pieces of chicken a few bits of potatoes in s container covered in melted cheese... So disappointing.... Will not order again, sadly would not recommend

I have been eating Sharma takeaways for a couple of years now. Good food, nicely spiced and cooked.  Always a nice polite driver and usually faster than estimate.  Currently a 15% off offer if you order via website not just eat

Well for a start they forgot a can of Pepsi second of all just full of grease like really bad, the chicken tikka colour looked more like gammon with it been a pale pink colour the food wasn’t the best and we waited over an hour for it. The chips were awful no chip spice or seasoning on them what so ever got a salad with the starter all it was was onion and cucumber with 2 slices of tomato’s.. pretty horrid to be honest won’t order from here again!! First time and last time.. it’s made me feel physically sick!!

I bought a medium chicken kebab on a naan on Saturday evening. I was charged £8.50. I’ve just looked on their menu & they are £550. May be they charged  me that as I was a bit drunk. So beware if just walking in after a few drinks. The place needs a good clean too .
