Best Asian restaurant in Harrogate. The service was knowledgeable and attentive. We had 2 main dishes, the Dhunwander, and one off the menu which was a shin of beef. Both dishes were not too spicy, but actually delicious and plenty to share, plus enough left for a doggy bag.
So deserving of 5 stars, would give more if allowed!! The staff are incredible;attentive and friendly always keeping an eye on things. The food was the best Indian I’ve personally tasted and worth every penny!! If in Harrogate definitely worth a visit!!
I was in Harrogate on a course Bumped into this place at night for dinner. The food is percent authentic Pakistani lahori food. It is halal of course. Loved it… ALHAMDULILLAH Staff n owner very friendly and nice Excellent food Another spot for “Jannati Food” food from paradise

Although we had booked a table we were shown to a table that had no reservation on, we could have just walked in from the street. The restaurant was very noisy, I asked if we could move to a quiet area but was told not possible. Although the food was nice we felt very rushed. Staff were all very young and only male staff members. Overall would not visit again, I'm sure there are nicer indian restaurants in Harrogate.
Always excellent food at Shalimar. They have a super menu that contains all the classics plus many unique curries that you won't see elsewhere. The staff are all friendly and attentive and the owner is a really nice guy that obviously is very passionate about his food. This time I had Lamb Achaar. The lamb is always top quality and super tender.
Food was fresh and tasty. We were looking for Pakistani type taste in Harrogate which we found. Manager was v helpful and service was great Just the portion size was low. We tried Lamb krahi , Tawa chicken and BBQ PlattersFood: 4/5

1st Time We was visiting family in Harrogate so ourselves not from the area for a birthday celebration we booked but arrived 25 min later than planned apologised on arrival and was greeted in a warm and friendly manner,it was no problem and was seated straight away even though the restaurant was starting to get busy,,, Thank you,,,, All staff were very welcoming ,friendly , The Atmosphere was great Food was fresh,tasty delicious and we didn't have to wait long in between servings WE brought a lil cake for birthday boy and it was no problem waiters and manager came out and made a fuss with other diners singing Happy Birthday.A very enjoyable experience, would definitely return when in the area & recommend. THANK YOU SHALIMAR Kid-friendliness: Very friendly and made my 2 younger children laugh over there love for different football teams Parking: Had no problem with the street parking round the side of restaurant on a Friday evening Bonus
