What a hidden gem! To be fair, it's easy to miss this outdoor pool, as it's fully enclosed on all sides with buildings, down an alley way. Free parking nearby at Barton Hill car park. Book online via their website as spaces are limited to 16 per lane swimming session. Pool is heated to around 29° during the summer season, and there is an extensive timetable. Staff were friendly and the manager went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Male and female changing rooms not individual cubicles were warm and clean. Poolside warm showers and lockers £1 refundable. The pool regulars were really welcoming and like a chat. We'll be back
Best Lido I've been to. With lots of floats and toys for the kids, and beautifully heated pool, this is well worth a visit. We've visited several times now and kids and adults alike love it. Water is warm enough that even young babies are happy.nnRecommend booking online as spaces fill quickly.
Booked the pool for an hour for a birthday party of 8 young lads. The people were so lovely and helpful, even making sure that the boys could swim unaided by doing a test swim first. Lifeguards were always supervising and even joined in on the fun with the boys by spraying them with the hose!nWill definitely be coming again, and Thankyou all for making their day so special :
What a gem hiding in the centre of townnI travelled from verwood to swim through the 'summer'. Not sure i could manage a cold swim though!
Great pool, just wish it was open all year like it used to be.
