We discovered this little restaurant by accident and we're so glad we did. The views are spectacular and the food great especially since good location often means not so good food in our experience!. We returned a couple of weeks later with a big group including lots of kids and the staff were so accommodating, we were able to pre-order and have the food arrive as we did, and it was all as seamless as it can be with the chaos of toddlers. Thanks to everyone, we'll be back!
A fabulous looking small castle and well worth the walk over if you do, or drive. The food was lovely and the view on a sunny day is fabulous. The surroundings are very well kept and there's plenty to do here.Food: 5/5
Great service, wonderful location and the best high tea I've had in the area. Delicious quiche, lovely home made tray bake cakes and nice scones.
Whenever I'm in Swanage I always have a walk up here to soak up the views, and I regularly pop in to here for a cup of tea and a rest.. but I also enjoy their food. On a sunny day it's great to sit outside and enjoy the view, but it's also nice to sit indoors; I forgot to take pic of indoors, but it is very neutral and calming, although it can fill up quite fast. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, even at their busiest.. and prices aren't too bad. They have gluten free fish n chips which is also a big bonus.. and the burger is a winner. I also enjoy their sausage in a bun with a cuppa, when you make your way up there for breakfast, I think it could do with an extra sausage, but still tastes good in the breosh bun.
What a place never been before amazing views had a coffee and breakfast was really good and priced well will defo be back great weather for it today.
Good foods, views, price, friendly staff, dog friendly- what more would one want!
Brilliant venue. Friendly staff, excellent service, well presented dishes, food hot and tasty, menu friendly to all tastes. Wheelchair accessibility: Very good thanks
The Ballantine was luke warm and I felt for what I paid the portion size was quite small, good coffee though.
Had a lovely late lunch here today. Fish and chips x2 with drinks soaking up the fantastic weather and amazing views across Swanage to Old Harry rocks. The fish haddock was really tasty, done in a light golden batter no skin - great and served with chunky chips, peas and tartare sauce. The service was all very efficient. Well recommended.
Great spot overlooking Swanage. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Menu was a solid lunchtime offering with burgers, fish and chips, paninis etc, all of which was pretty tasty. Despite a warning of long lead times, service was quick.
