Absolutely useless institution, paying for local council tax and you get once a year bin bags…what a jokenCustomer service is appalling
I was issued a parking fine in the 5 mins I was queuing to buy a parking ticket. The parking attendant said I would be able to get it cancelled, but the council refused to cancel the charge, ridiculous and flawed system.
Stuff Sevenoaks District Council. Their arbitrary, fascist and legalistic single yellow line Monday to Friday 11am-Noon down Egdean Walk off of the A225 Dartford Road. How can motorists call on residents during this hour of the day?! I can see that Sevenoaks District Council and local residents don't want motorists dumping their cars all day for Bat & Ball railway station but to enable motorists to call on the residents in this street, it is paramount to either install permit parking in Egdean Walk Monday to Friday 11am-Noon or to stagger the hours of the single yellow lines down this street, say one side being Monday to Friday 10-11am and the other side being the current Monday to Friday 11am-Noon. Either of these actions will thankfully allow motorists to call on the local residents without being penalised.
The parking charges are ridiculous so many empty public car parks but as a resident I live on the high street and have no where to park without paying high charges or receiving continual parking fines. Sunday charges and charging till 8.30 at night is ridiculous. After speaking to some local businesses on the high street they have said they are struggling for customers. I've now chosen to move out the area
Council tax is sky high probably the highest in Kent. Run by the Torries currently so no surprise. What you get is bin bags but no bins!!! Their customer service is a joke. I sent them an email about not being able to log in to my council tax account. Instead of sorting it out they sent an email that they forwarded my email to IT , never heard anything back. The council website is useless too.
