Rude practice manager, didn't look after my daughter at all .... Left now at Arden house much better all round. Dr hall and team way more professional. And the surgery is way cleaner.
Simon is a star. An hour to turn an emergency prescription online to IRL. Dr Shotton really listens to patients and takes time to discuss what's needed.
Simon is the most professional, caring, helpful person I’ve had the pleasure to speak to whilst trying to get a Dr’s appointment. He went above and beyond and made a difficult situation manageable. Thank you Simon.
Want to Thank Reception staff member Simon for going out of his way to help me contact the hospital when my landline was out of order and I had an appointment via the telephone and I had failed to be able to make contact with them. He was so calm when I as usual got my self in such a state, sorted the situation without any drama. All the staff we tend to give our stress to and they take it and sort our problems while sorting everything for so many more and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Suzanne Brown I have to add to this review and it is not about the staff, but about the waiting times for appointments for bloods, 3+ weeks I have just waited after a doctor asked for them and my blood pressure checked at the same time and this is now common , there is a lot of bad talk about sett valley and the way it is being run and the changes that are being made they really do not seem to be patient based or even staffed based so I can only conclude they are money based, you will loose patients as they sign up with alternative doctors as anger over spills and that is sad as this has been an excellent practise for so many years. Do not change what works look at what does not work ! Look after you staff do not let them take peoples anger due to changes that mean patients are not getting good care and at the moment they are not getting the care they all need .
Not too bad a surgery, however there is a woman from the North East of England working in reception who is very very rude to everyone. Honestly its the worst kind of service you could ask for when you are calling about Health. She needs to be retrained and told how important it is to show patients respect and empathy. Sitting behind a reception desk does not seat you above others.
Joke of a service - this practice does not want to get back to normal ! Covid has been far too comfortable for some ! Your job is seeing patients not fobbing them off !

Just been there to try and get an LFT test and was met an awful really rude unhelpful woman. You need to realise you are there to provide a service and be help not rude and unpleasant. Abysmal service
Please note not 24 hours!There is some confusion hereNOT THE SURGERIES FAULTI needed the minor injuries clinic and when I googled this it gave me phone number of the Sett Valley Medical Centre and says it is open 24 hours. As usual the staff were very patient and helpful I wasn't, in my defence I was bleeding profusely and needed urgent medical attention,so sorry chaps if I was rudeThey found me the right number I off I went to Buxton to get the treatment I needed.
Hi Martin and I had our covid19 vaccination today at Thornbrook And I would like to say how extremely good the experience was due to a very tight run team of people. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
