Do not buy from any of the following businesses the Joseph Michael Lomax Known as Joeis involved in. Sergeliving and Middleton Furnishings as both are fraudulent. Already owned SL Gardens LTD which was devolved. Unfortunately any money given like I did to the sum of £1985 won’t be returned and you don’t get your goods. He promises a 4 week delivery and I have waited 3 months, he’s extremely difficult to get a hold of and only returns emails if you are buying not when money has been handed over. Anyone else been scammed then please report your case to Action Fraud Police, happy to help anyone in a similar position as I in the process of dealing with solicitors, local authorities where he runs a shop, Company’s House, Police and Banking Fraud departments. Let’s make sure no one buys from him.
We ordered a £1500 dining table in early February. Paid by credit card. Promised 5 weeks for delivery. 12 weeks on despite chasing him several times still nothing. He has now completely stopped returning contact. We are now going to trading standards as this firm is a complete cowboy operation. WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN FROM THEM EVER AND WPIPD ADVISE YOU TO DO THE SAME.
Extremely poor service. We ordered a dining room table and chairs which arrived in the most badly damaged packaging. The table was broken and we had to send it back. We requested a refund but the owner hung up the phone on us! Fortunately we were able to recover our money from our credit card company. 1 star is more than they deserve.
I ordered £1700 of furniture in march and they have failed to deliver on many occasions. I have now been trying to get my money back for weeks. The owner is a liar and a thief. This company is a scam and should be allowed to advertise on Google.
I ordered a table and chairs from serge living on 11th April 2018, and as it would appear by everyone else, I was told that I would have my goods within 4 weeks !! and to this day nothing has arrived , and the banks have now taken over in trying to obtain a refund , for goods not supplied !!. I only wish that I would have read up on serge living before hand, as I would not have touched them with a barge pole, and I can only hope that this does not happen to anyone else. I can honestly say that I have been in business for over 20 years, and I have never heard so many excuses and false promises in my life, that joe Lomax has portrayed to me . I lost count on the amount of times I was promised delivery, along with the rest of the personal excuses told !! joe was given plenty of opportunity to deal with the issues he has caused,, and he never followed through! he,s great at taking peoples money , but useless at delivering what you have paid for ! awful business ! I feel sorry for anyone in the same position, and no one needs this kind of stress in there lives ! STEER CLEAR
For all those struggling to get their money back we should jointly take him into court. We have already started legal proceeding and reported him to trading standards. I am not sure how long it will take for small court to proceed but happy to provide updates on here. The owner is now deleting all bad reviews from Facebook to ensure he continues to get business. To date I have come across at least 6 people without money. If you need support info find me on fb.
Why is there no option to leave 0 stars? I have encountered an eight month nightmare with this company Paid them £2200 for a marble table set and been fed lie after lie after lie Joe the owner is nothing but a conman and a fraud He takes payment with no intention of supplying any goods He then ignores your calls Yet when you pretend to be another customer via his live chat facility he is straight there The shop is never open That’s probably because there’s customers like me wanting to confront Joe and get what is ours back! He wants locking up I really do not know how he gets away with this He has blamed the suppliers for letting him down Then the couriers Everyone apart from himself I have personally spoken with coachhouse one of his suppliers as I was getting annoyed with the delays and they have said there was never any delays with the stock I was because serge living had their account taken off them for breaching his agreement with them so the company couldn’t actually purchase anything from them anyway!! So joe is selling stock he can’t even get from the suppliers coachhouse that he is advertising!!! If this isn’t planned fraud I don’t know what is I have just had my money back from the bank eight months later and I have gone to mystique interiors It appears that everyone knows what a con serge living is as mystique laughed when they heard that I had gone initially to him, not laughed at me but said oh another one, we are doing good business on the back of him!! And even they knew he never delivers anything after he has taken the payment It appears that joe is also trying to sell his business What a joke how can you sell a business that is committing fraud??? there must be 100’s of customers that have not had their goods I am also going to set up a Facebook page today if anyone that has not had their money back to warn everyone Please look for do not buy from serge living
Today we have received our goods. Not completed the assembling yet but so far everything looks amazing! I had to chase the delivery man myself to get this sorted after many cancellations previously. Overall a very disappointing experience. He really needs to become more professional how he talks to his customers and how he manages his business. Appalling customer service. My advise to him that to employ professional delivery people where you can get the goods delivered in timely manner so you actually get repeat business. This is like a bad break up and you just want to forget!
This is on behalf of my partner mr hill.. but support his reason for bad review 100%... Mr J.Lomax has promised 50 quid compo for damage coffee table... keeps thobbing off like the other reviews .this has been going on 6mths now he has run out of excuses so his wife is now getting the blame...DO NOT ORDER ANY SO CALLED HIGH END PRODUCTS AS DONT DELIVERY AS STATES NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSO EVER !! Buy from a reputable company not this delboy...Hope he gets closed down as it is what he deserves.
Awful company!!! Joe is a liar and a thief!! Do not give them your money they will take it give you no goods or refunds! They do not reply to e.mails or calls and take bad reviews off there Facebook Instagram etc and continue to advertise new furniture everyday to steal even more people’s money!! Steer clear.
