I have been a loyal customer at Serene’s for just over 25 years. The one thing you can count and rely on is Serene’s unique flavours, the freshness of all food and the generous portion sizes that are more than reasonably priced. They have a very impressive menu and have something for every foodie. The management and staff provide outstanding customer service and maintain very high standards when food is being prepared and served whether it is take away or sit in when permitted due to COVID. Serene’s simply is the best of the best, so if you haven’t already make your way to Serene’s and enjoy.
This is the best F&C shop in East London- i live in Newham and this to me is the nearest fish and chips shop and its fresh and tasty. You will have to wait about 10min but the wait is worth it. The chilli sauce if you order it make sure you ask for it to be warmed up- its nice over chips etc. .. The staff are very helpful and friendly. 5A**** service see images of sauce on chips etc. I did ask if they deliver to Newham but they said it was out of the area. Lovely place hope they do deliveries soon to Newham area. Thank you
We had enjoyed dining in at Serene Fish & Chips. The food was exceptional. Everything was fresh. They serve the best fish and chips. The cod fish batter is so light and crispy. The lamb shish was also very tasty. The staff were friendly. We will definitely go back again.
Place is nice and refitted and food is good! Just want them to have better customer service! I seem to always get bad service and it’s twice now! Years ago I got a delivery almost an hour late and sent it back, I was so hungry by then so got very angry! I decided to start buying again and went in to get a takeaway. Waited around after paying and then double checked and an item was missing so had to pay again and wait longer for the item! The lady rushed the order and the wrap was cold. On top of that the rest of the order was getting cold in the meantime! You only have one job so why can’t you lot do it properly! Not even a proper apology, it’s like a mutter under the breath! You could give a 25% discount to win the customer over to show your really sorry! In the food business it’s not hard to even give an item free because your not really losing much!

The food was excellent as always. The portion was generous and fresh. I think the restaurant has been renovated. The staff was helpful, friendly and polite. I was practically touched when the lady chased us across the busy road to return our forgotten umbrella. We go there when we are in the area and we always recommend friends to go. Parking: It is not easy to park around the area. Do try the other side of Woodford Avenue.
We always know we’ll get top quality food when we order from Serene. Good delivery time, hot food and friendly helpful staff. Our ‘go to’ when we want take away. I usually get lamb chops SO good but tried the new home-made chicken burger and it was <chef’s kiss> Highly recommend!!
Fantastic food! Nothing was too much trouble even for a fussy eater like myself. Everything came quick and fresh and to the highest standard! Not just any fish and chip shop. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Delicious food. We just ordered cod & chips and a chicken burger and chips. We were very impressed. The cod was delicious so was the chips. The chicken burger wasn't a cheap type even the bun was nice we was impressed for a fish & chip shop. Sometimes my family and I get sceptical of the quality of food from places that sell a big variety of food but this places food is good. We will definitely be ordering again. They also gave a voucher for the next order to use.
First time ordering from here and it was well worth it. Good size portions. Fish is cooked really well. Reasonable prices too. Definitely recommend
