I had enjoyed shopping at Serendipity over the past 8 years. However when I had a quality isue with a product the manager was extremely rude and refused to refund, a breach of my consumer rights. I will not be shopping there again.

Stopped here today with my elderly mother on our way to Durham - delicious light lunch plus an opportunity to browse beautiful gift & home ideas - perfect pit stop :)

Super Tea room with excellent staff, however my wife and I tried to spend £1200 in buying a Dining set but after negotiating chicane on the shop floor around a large bag left by visiting Sales person.and a huddle of staff including the owner who prefered to speak to Rep. rather than ourselves and other customers who viewed stock but left. When I confronted the small ensemble and suggested we might go elsewhere, told by staff member that it may be better if I did! Tried to contact Owner, faced barrier by same Sales staff, left phone number, all to no avail , last resort this review. Found what I wanted in Northallerton from helpful Sales Staff. Such a shame as this had been a regular call on our way to our house in Cumbria for the past decade.
