Stayed in Southwold for a week, was looking for places to eat on a wet windy day nearby... saw reviews so thought we would make trip to Haleworth as I'm a bit of a Fish and Chip Critic. I was firmly put in my place with this establishment. The most perfectly cooked Cod/Chips, my Wife had Plaice, unusually she cleared the plate. Kids had local sausages, "best sausages ever dad". Recommend a detour or visit.

The food and service are always fantastic but tonight you surpassed yourselves. My plaice was out of this world. I have a small appetite so couldn't eat quite all of it so my dogs had a feast too with the leftovers! The fish and chips at Aldeburgh are famed for being the best in England, but whoever spread that idea has not been to Seashell in Halesworth. The food is simply superlative.
