SeaQuarium

About

Rhyl SeaQuarium has an open seafront location and sits on the beautiful North Wales coastline.

Story

We would like to welcome all new explorers to join us on a voyage of discovery as we travel beneath the waves, from tranquil fresh waters to the cold depths of the abyss. Along the way we will encounter the strangely shaped sturgeon, as well as sharks found off our very own coast and rays that glide effortlessly through the water.

We will also find solitary lobsters, conger eels and mystical axolotls before entering the Lethal Reef, home to some of the most poisonous animals on our planet. These are just a few of the amazing, strange and beautiful animals that await us on our adventure.

Family of 5 was £62.50 it was good but not worth the money in my opinion. We did also see the seal show which made for better value for money. Seal show was on at 1pm and definitely worth timing your visit around then. You can also visit again on the same ticket on the same day.
Great place to come and visit. Staff are nice and the place is tidy and clean. There are lots of animals to see, tanks are clean and animals are easy to see. Sea lion show was awesome and the open tanks were brilliant. Good access for wheelchairs and plenty of cheap parking in the multistory nearby. Food and drink is also reasonably priced in the cafe.
24/3/2022 Overall had a great time with lots of info about all the animals. The seal show was excellent and Bubbles the seal was lovely especially when she tried to pinch all of the fish in the bucket. Staff were welcoming and polite.
Enjoyed our visit there. Its a small but nice place. We had a chat with one of the staff, she was lovley and told us a lot about the place. Once you bought a ticket, you could leave and enter again if you showed them your ticket. There is a nice cafe inside too.
Visited Rhyl Sea aquarium for the first time. My friends and I had a really good time. The staff are very friendly and there is so much to see. It's highly educational if you're interested in aquatic Sea life. From fish octopus and other interesting Sea life including lobster . There are also Sea lions outside in the pool and there's a performance by the Sea lions keeper with commentary. I can't say it's a cheap day out as even children have to pay almost as much as an adult. 2 adults and 2 children cost £42 which is alot as the place isn't huge. You wouldn't spend a whole day inside. But I suppose it isn't cheap operating an aquarium. Its well worth a visit if you're in Rhyl
Lovely aquarium. Well priced. You can easily spend an hour and a half here to get round the actual aquarium. Then a lunch in the cafe plenty of choice and decently peiced for such large portions and then go back round again. So all in all we spent a good 3 hours here especially if you make the most of the timed feeding and shows. Parking right next door in the basement car park only a 2 minute walk away and again cheaply priced when we went.
It was a very rainy day Rhyl so we decided to visit the SeaQuarium. Spent quite a long time in there trying to take photo's of moving sharks and sealions! Very enjoyable day with lots of things to see. Highly recommended.
I went here on January and ended up getting a private Seal show. Although there were just me and my friend, the instructor kept talking and explaining about stuff which I really appreciate. The SeaQuarium is quite descent place to visit with kids. It’s just unfortunate that the place was designed i a such way that me and my friend found a bit gloomy for kids, especially the place for phobia last photo.
A nice and small aquarium. Various animals including some insects. The highlights would be the octopus and the lion fish. Bathrooms were very clean, food sold on premises, gift shop on premises, parking very close by at a very reasonable rate £1 per hour, 4hrs for £3. Sanitizers were empty throughout building - minor complaint A bit pricy for a small aquarium. Enjoyable trip.
Great little aquarium, reasonably priced and some interesting animals, it seems a bit samey and dated in places but I guess post covid we should be happy there is anything to do close by. The staff were great too, really friendly and talkative. The café is a bit like a school dinner cafe.
