Only my second or third time using Seaham train station and it's very clean and tidy, kept on good order. One significant difference also is that the usual crossing gate which was magnetically opened gas now been replaced by a short tunnel under the tracks in order to get from platform to platform. Well maintained & a pleasant visit here.
Went up to Seaham via the train, for the Seaham food festival 2019. Due to lovely sunny weather it was busy , great that loads of people turned out to support it.
Friendly town . Good for walking, history and shops
It's needing money to remove or improve the seedier buildings in Seaham Harbour. There is a good coastal walk and good eateries.
Lovely place lot's of places to eat, have a coffee, see our famous Tommy the world War one model made of metal
