1. Sometimes it pays off to go to the place and try it for yourself and not check the reviews. 2. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the banter and the tips that he gave me since I was visiting the city for the first time. 3. The portion is more than enough for you!! I was so full and satisfied with my regular size cod fillet plus chips. And the tartar sauce, amazing 4. For a traditional and old place in Bath, the food is still on point and true to itself. The batter was not too greasy and the chips fried to the right crunchiness. Anytime I'm back in the city, I will definitely visit again. Thanks.
I ordered before I saw the revues but luckily they were proven wrong. The lady who took my order was very pleasant. I ordered the lunch special for $12 GBP which included fish and chips, mushy peas, toast with butter and tea or coffee. The fish breading was great, not too much nor too little. The fish itself didn’t have a fishy flavor which seemed to be fresh. The chips were piping hot and crispy golden brown. All in all, great price for a lunch in Bath.
Amazing fish and chips place. So many choices. Also had halloumi for vegeterians and beans, etc. We had the Posh Fish and Chips, which was worth trying and both got larger beers. We ended the evening with their sticky toffee pudding with the best vanilla ice cream of my life. Vegetarian options: Beans, halloumi and best chips in all of Bath. Dietary restrictions: All their food is cooked in vegetable oil, not canola or peanut oil.
So the good parts where staff friendly, chips nicely cooked. Batter was good not too creasy. Bad was the fish it was not fresh tasting at all. It was not edible, I tried but unfortunately it had to be wasted

OMG.. worst chips I ever seen in my life, how can shops be allowed to serve chips as vile as these, all hard and black Mark's, and very hard to bite? I believe these are oven baked then fried. This is not a fish and chip shop to visit, unless your desperate or drunk. Sorry to sound harsh but these chips should not be served like this. These should be freshly cut and cooked chips not like left overs from the day before, honestly I had to throw these away as put me of buying chips again . The staff look pretty scary, and sadly so does the food. I wish I had checked their reviews before I purchased, but never again it's called "seafood" but they should call it Sickfood these were really disgusting and truthfully it made me vomit, sorry if that offends people but look this is not the way to cook and certainly not the way to serve a customer. Please look at my photos and see for yourself. I am here to leave honest reviews,the Fishcake was all fallen apart but too but was the only thing edible.
Great food, cooked to order, able to sit outside which was great for someone high risk, great service. The people who worked there were really friendly and helpful. Made me feel welcome and like a valued customer. Thank you!Food: 5/5
Best battered fish I have ever eaten! Dog was allowed in when we ate. Staff very friendly. Don’t want fish and chips anywhere else now.
