Great to finally play this great links course. For the last week of October the course was in great shape and we were blessed with the weather! No wind and short sleeve. For £40 a round it is well worth it. The condition of the course was great and of course there is some winter work being done but it surely didn’t interfere with a great experience. Great holes and don’t expect to get many flat lies.
I Always really enjoy playing this track. It's challenging, undulating fairways and deep bunkers. Not to mention the stiff breeze. Always start the round with a full English. Perfect day out
If you plan a couple of days away in the Skegness area than a round at Seacroft has to be on your list of courses to play. A very enjoyable links course that has received accolade from others. Must have caught the pro on a bad day as he wasn't at his best. The clubhouse offender a good menu. Car parking was over the main road in a quiet area with several members parking on the side road. The course was in goid condition with extensive improvement being carried out on one hole. North Shore golf club and hotel is just down the road and I am posting review on that.
Seacroft is rightly considered the best golf course for £50 or under in Britain - and I would argue it is possibly one of the most underrated links courses in England.nLike all links courses, dependent on the wind direction, this course will play differently any given day, and naturally some of the holes can immediately feel intimidating whilst playing into a breeze, whilst some will have you thinking of birdie or eagle with the wind at your back - But the beauty of this course is that actually, whilst you may never feel overly punished for a bad tee shot the exceptions being the ultra tight 5th and 8th fairways that hug the road, it is only when you split the fairway, that you feel you're in a position to make a score. It is a course that the big hitters will always feel they can take on with some short par 4s that will reward the best drivers of a golf ball.. but miss it 10 yards either side and suddenly bogey+ is right back in play, but the shorter hitters will also get joy out of, as you never feel that any hole is beyond making a score on.nThe greens are a great mix of giant, Scottish Links-esque surfaces, to quirky shapes and drop offs that can suddenly make you feel like you needed more practice at the Crazy Golf in the heart of Skegness!nBe it winter or summer, this course is always maintained to a high standard, and the staff in pro shop and club house are always welcoming and friendly.nLincolnshire may well be known in the golfing fraternity for Woodhall Spa and the home of the EGU, but more acknowledgement should be made for Seacroft and it's timeless Links layout
Quality Course Cheeky Location But it Was Worth the driveSome Great holes On both sides, Greens nicely contoured, Nice conditions, Friendly staff
