We used to buy there frequently. There must be two cooks: Sometimes the food is perfect. Some other times the same dishes are a disaster, lacks of salt almost sweet dishes; vegetables are clearly undercooked, almost raw. The problem is you don't know when the "good"cook is in. We have had to stop buying for a while. I hope they read this and correct the issue.
Tried this place whilst visiting the area. I normally look at the latest " Scores on the Door" Health & Safety rating before I visit a new restaurant, but this time I forgot. So I did look at it after being seated. Was a bit shocked that they got a Zero on their October 2022 inspection, but it turned out that they were inspected again about a week later and got a 5 Star. To be honest, if I did not find that 5 Star new rating, I would have left, because I will never eat in a restaurant with a Zero rating. Anyway, food and staff were nice. They probably need more knowledge about wine. Also could not understand why when we finished our bottle of wine, they could not give us a glass of wine !!
Basically I expected a better welcome, a waitress to smile and the food to be delicious, none of these things we found on our very special evening out. I have visited, won’t be back, there are simply better restaurants for the money. Oh and if you’ve never been before, it is also impossible to find!
Food was okay, had better Indians but it wasn't awful, the main gripe was that it took over 2 hours to arrive. Meant to come by 8.30pm, we rang at 9pm to hear it was 5mins away, at 9.30pm it arrived. Not great really. We had a very hungry group of people here at my house.
Good value food with moderately priced alcohol. Got the gammon which was great for the price we paid. Friendly bartenders and generally nice staff and atmosphere.
Curry and rice both very watery and lacked flavour - like a salty broth. I was left feeling like I had put £20 in the bin. A shame because we used to use Sea of Spice a lot last year - gone down hill again.
Almost 2 hrs to deliver, the food was tepid and watery, amazingly with no flavour at all. The chicken was dry and clearly reheated, the curry was actually chicken floating in a yellow flavourless soup. The most horrid Indian food I have ever had, please save your money and go elsewhere… anywhere would be better than that.
First and last! take away under the new management was a complete disappointment. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I have never eaten such a bad Indian dish. The curry was watery, tasteless and bland, lacking spicy-ness and heat and completely devoid of the richness and deliciousness of an authentic Indian curry. The spinach dish tasted off, so we didn't eat it. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Will not go back. Avoid.

Great food, affordable prices, and great service. 3 things I hardly ever get together from any of my locals! Great to see the guys back and under new ownership. Spent little over £80 they gave me a free vegetable main dish and 2 pilaw rice which was nice of them, as we won’t say no to free food. Overall food was good and consistent with flavour delivery waiting was one hour but I prefer the honesty instead of me chasing up constantly so thank you guys. Will spread the word that you guys are back !!!
