Glad we popped in as the good and service were excellent. I had a veggie breakfast which was very nice and the rest of the family we happy with their meals. Will pop back again the next time we’re at Teignmouth.
We were looking forward to going to this place to sample a Sunday roast. We made sure before hand they were serving lamb....so that was a clincher!! However, we were ushered in and given a small table directly next to the front door so it was cold. We also noticed dogs everywhere. We sat expectantly for some service or communication....but we got none. Eventually we twigged that you had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. On ordering the roast we learnt they had none/run out? So.....we left. Such a shame but sadly no communication skills or any friendly welcome and dogs. Not a good combination. Won't be going back.....
Updated review: I went to the Oystercatchers Cafe again after not having gone in a year or so, and I'm so glad that things are just as good as before! Once again, if you fancy delicious food and excellent service, do yourself a favor and visit this lovely place! Original review: This little cafe has become a regular place where I love to go. The food is always delicious, and the staff are always welcoming. They have a great menu with lots of choices, and their veggie/vegan options are amazing. My favorite is they deluxe vegan hot chocolate, you really can't go wrong with it, or with anything on the menu as a matter of fact! It's great to see that they also are doing everything they can to keep their customers and theirselves safe during the pandemic. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely friendly cafe, a hidden gem! I had an eggs Royale and my partner had the eggs Benedict. Both meals were delicious and the service was excellent! Will definitely be returning next time we visit teignmouth :
Sadly for us today must have been an off day. It was busy and short-staffed. Breakfast served tepid on cold plates. Just not tasty and greasy and toast not fully toasted. Coffee strange taste. Won't be returning.Food: 2/5

Great place for a breakfast in Teignmouth. Fisherman's 2 of everything, Skipper's 1 of everything, Tiddler's small appetites and a whole host of other options. Recommended
