Great place and free! Loads of space for kids to run around, sculpture trail, lovely park. Be sure to check out the house the inside is much more fantastic than the outside. Nice tea room too with hot and cold drinks, ice lollies and food.
We often walk our dog here when visiting the area. It's £3.50 to park for two hours and there's plenty of space to walk and play. Rhododendrons are in bloom at the moment. It's a great place for picnics. Very family friendly with lots of play areas.
We get to go here everytime we're in pembroke, we love this place ...great for families, free to explore the acres of woodland, and fields. There's a kiddies play park & visitor centre. There's a charge to get into the Manor house...and there's an apiary nearby with a display centre showing a short film seeing what the bees get up to during their short life span...all that's free to view, as is a visit to the walled garden, where you can purchase fresh vegetables that are in season. Plenty of toilets on site, and a nice little cafe serving a tasty choice of food. Great day out with or without the kids. Playground: Would suit, kids up to age 12yrs, good selection of ridees Restrooms: 2 restroom , one near the entrance another near the Manor house Dog-friendliness: As long as you clean up as you go along Picnic area: Picnic anywhere really!
Fantastic day out for Halloween. We did the selfie booths in the green she'd, the haunted trail in the manor house, had pumpkin soup and hot chocolate in the cafe, then did the bug hunt in the walled garden. Finally we walked through the woods along the sculpture trail and found the hidden fort in the woods, the pirate ship park and ended in the park by the visitors centre. We had a 5 year old and a grandmother with us and everyone enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit.
Went with a friend for a picnic. Lovely walled garden. Lot's of apples to be picked which could be used in the cafe or sold to visitor's? We couldn't believe how big the pumpkins were and only August? Restrooms: Very clean and disabled friendly Dog-friendliness: Dog's allowed on a lead Picnic area: We found a bench under a tree that was perfect for our picnic It was also accessible for wheelchairs, close to the disabled parking.
Great Christmas experience in Santas West Wales Holiday home. Watch out for the naughty elf who photo bombs you and the magic elf who makes his Banana disappear... And of course the big man himself.
Nice day out, but better when the weather is nice. Signal box by the train was locked, but maybe because we visited late Oct. Parking £3.50 for 2hrs.
Great place to visit if you are in the area. We went on a wet and windy day, but still had fun exploring the grounds, following the sculpture walks. We then warmed up with a lovely cuppa and some food in the cafe. Kids enjoyed the colouring packs that were handed out. Staff were friendly and helpful. A good, value for money afternoon out.
Such a fantastic place for a day out with children - but probably best when it's not raining too hard. Lots of open fields, play areas, nature walks through woodland, walled garden, bees, bike trail etc. The house is interesting but probably not for little children. Will be great when the train section is open. Café is OK, not exceptional but adequate certainly.
We've been here countless times and never thought to review it. It really it a fab, inexpensive place to visit. You only pay for the car park and the rest is good old fashioned family fun. There are cracking playground areas, zip wire, swings etc and in the forest as you follow the trail is a new wooden fortress for the kids. Fab. There's a great cycle trail and a fun bumpy cycle area too. You can visit the manor house for a fee. Lovely cafe for meals and drinks. There's a walled garden also and other nature things at the top bear the Manor house. My only slight grumble was only 1 toilet was open in the cafe area in total for men, women and kids. Not sure they cannot open the toilets as I've been to lots of places with toilets that are open as normal. The other thing was the plaques with information on in the forest, were blank and some of the musical instruments were broken which is a shame as they wouldn't take much to fix. In all a lovely place to visit for a few hours.
