Shocking service! Can never get an appointment! My son has a severe headache. We will have to waste a and ensuing time! What do we pay tax for? A receptionist with no medical training to ask us about symptoms and then tell us no chance of medical attention! Disgusting!
I really struggled to get through to reception - 46 mins. Very concerned that anyone with dementia or a similar degenerative disease will struggle to get an appointment here. They are likely to be fobbed off. In fairness, doctors here are great. System is TERRIBLE. I’m changing doctors in the hope of a better, quicker, less stressful service.
All round positive experience with Anchor Field Surgery Yesterday 12th April Lovely lady at the reception desk greeting and checking people in, Julie? Then I was seen by a nurse who was very kind and accommodating as I'm not great with needles! I then had to go back for an afternoon Appt for blood tests where Dr Butti was needed as I'm difficult to get blood from, spent some time sussing where they were going to take the blood, but in the end they found the best place and managed it on the first attempt! Phew! I came away feeling thankful to these members of staff, although it wasn't a pleasant experiance, it went as well as it could've, In less than 17Hrs Dr Butti called me with my blood test results, with positive news & alls well. Thanks to all!
Reception staff most of the women I found very unhelpful and rude. I have also spoken with some ladies who have gone an extra mile to help. But that's very few.
Doing a good job in very difficult circumstances. Yes, we all know that there are issues, but we are lucky to have an NHS in the first place.
Went in today to have my knee looked at by a nurse, I had a severe cut 4 days ago, held together with Staples and steristrips. The attending nurse decided to remove the staples at which point the wound started to gape open. She replaced the staples with tiny steristrips and I was discharged! I would like to also add that the waiting room had medical supplies littered around the room, open for anyone to take knee supports, bandages. The room I was seen in hadn't been cleaned in a while, cluttered medical supplies once again all over the desk, piled ontop of the cupboards and balancing in piles across the room. The whole place needs a good sort through and tidy, a refurb wouldn't go a miss here NHS! A visit to A and E was proposed as a possible option but she felt it would probably heal given time. Feeling slightly unsettled by the wound having reopened, I was driven to the local Minor Injuries Unit. They were confused and alarmed by the decision to remove the staples, advising me that they should have been left in for at least 10 days!!!! The wound was redressed with heavy duty steristrips and super glue.
Fantastic practice. The Dr’s are very friendly and always willing to listen dispute there work load, as are the nurses and receptionists.Appointment system is great, and in general can be seen on the day. Have been with this practice for a long time now and would fully recommend it.
Level of service since your merger has been very poor to say the least with no improvement to the service offered to the community that you serve. I DO NOT accept that this can be blamed on covid. This is I feel due to a poorly managed practice which has placed your hard working GP's in an impossible situation. This score relates to management and not the GP's
Very friendly and helpful staff, with one of the best GPs I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. The waiting room is spacious welcoming, and the facilities are very good. Rarely have to wait around.
Great practice. Despite having to rapidly change the way they work due to the pandemic , continues to offer a safe and effective service. Thank you for your continuing hard work.
