We ordered the grand thali for 2 between 4 of us girls, and the waiter was like that’s only for two people and we were like yes we know but it will be enough and we might order extras on the side later if needed. He said he’ll have to check with the chef if they can do that, but we all found it weird how they were pushing us to order more food when we were telling him we don’t want any more. We were right it ended up being more than enough for us and we struggled to finish it, so if we had listened to the waiter we would’ve had a lot of leftover food. Overall didn’t like the tone of the waiter and judging our order left us with a bad vibe. Food and drinks were good but probably won’t return because of the service.
Honestly, appearance wise the food looked delicious but it tasted so bland. I had the chicken steak with chips. The chips were probably the best tasting item. We asked for creamy mash and we got something that looked like rice pudding and the chicken steak itself tasted like rubber. The decor and outside seating was nice but the food just wasn’t the one. My parents ordered the big Thaal and I was proven that it wasn’t that good considering it was £55.
If you are looking for Indian food, you can try this place. Food is genuine good but I felt it is a bit pricey than the other Indian restaurant options you will get. Having said so, experience will definitely be different so one can try it Food: 3/5
Lovely high end Indian cuisine. The Lamb was mouthwatering and oozing with flavours. Highly recommend the grilled meat for two, it was delicious and the masala chips was to die for. The decor and atmosphere was fantastic and the waiters did a great job. Overall a brilliant experience and eating fantastic food. In addition I asked and they surprised my mrs with a lovely little Birthday desert. Kid-friendliness: Great service and always keeping an eye.

Last visited January 2024 Made a reservation for 5. Good table booth. Service was fast as we had an early reservation. Ordered the set menu and did not disappoint. The mixed starter was good and the selection dishes to follow was both good variety and positions.Food: 5/5
We paid for set menu for 5 people costing almost £220. Dont waste your money. The starters were honestly bland as can be, samosas tasteless The main meals were frankly bland and covered with just heat. Dessert was a fudge cake reminiscent of a frozen Iceland cake costing a pound. We are curry fanatics, get yourself down to MyLahore at the curry Mile or Sangham in Didsbury, so much better. Very very disappointed, as this was meant to be a special birthday meal The waiter however was excellent , couldn’t fault him. Don’t let the spinning fields location fool you, better off getting a Tesco frozen curry
We ordered cocktails and starter platters. Drinks were really yummy and the platters were huge. We didn't order any mains as the platters were more than enough. But the service was a bit slow.Food: 4/5
Beautiful place - enjoyed my first experience at Scene. Service, Quality of food and decor was 10/10. A quick prompt service also the waiters were ever so lovely and got us whatever additional things we may have required. To top it off the weather was beautiful so it was nice eating outdoor. Everything was delicious - couldn’t fault it. Thank you guys for a great service.
We dropped in for a quick bite before a show at Aviva Studios and this place surpassed our expectations. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The service was super quick and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Scene.Food: 5/5
