As a regular visitor to Suffolk I appreciate the value of small businesses run by local people who know the area and make guests to this beautiful county feel welcome. The very kind gentleman who owns the shop has been running it for a few years now, having taken the business over from his father - how lovely it is to see a business remain in the family. Instead of heading off for greener pastures, as is so common these days, the proprietor works 6 days a week to keep the only fishing shop for miles around open to support local dabblers and more qualified fishermen in enjoying their favourite past-times. My daughter and I particular enjoy the enthusiastic welcome we receive from the little black puppy, who never fails to put a smile on our faces. We have bought lots of high quality gear here for my partner and a few good gifts for nephews and cousins - all guided by the owner's recommendations. One other reviewer on here seems to have taken great umbrage at the puppy jumping up at his car - it is a shame that man was so focussed on material possessions he couldn't enjoy the friendly atmosphere and bonhomie that were waiting inside. Long may this local family business remain open serving the Suffolk community for all their engraving and fishing needs.
