This is a BRILLIANT ESTABLISHMENT! I enjoyed every second of my visit there, and I found it's goals of the promotion of science and curiosity to be very noble and useful to the betterment of our society and species. I could see kids and adults having a good time. The facilities and equipment are state-of-the-art, the booking system ensures that the building isn't over-crowded at any given time, and accessibility for everyone is taken into consideration. There are provisions for wheelchairs and other forms of mobility. The interior is clean, beautifully painted and well-maintained, and the staff are very polite and helpful. Regarding food and refreshment, there's a cafe in the building with a nice selection of a variety of food, and the prices are not exorbitant or extortionate.
Very highly recommended! I recommend that you get the STEM Passport Holder for unlimited entry for a year. We have 2 kids under 5 and they love it here There's a dedicated under 6s zone but to be honest the whole Science Centre has something for them. Every time we go we discover something new. The regular installations are really interesting, and set up in a way that kids enjoy it loads. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There's an on site "Grub" eatery And don't forget to visit the little explored gem that is the garden.
Brilliant since its been refurbished! Very quiet when we went in, plenty of staff offering to help and talkative with the kids. Very clean. New exhibits are great, a video or audio explanation to some of them would be useful though, as kids are dyslexic, gives them a bit more freedom to explore just a suggestion. 3 exhibits were down when we went in and another broke while we were there which is a bit disappointing. Overall good learning experience.
Great place to bring kids young and old. So much to investigate and explore. All interactive activities to help learning through play. Cafe inside too. Lockers and buggy park free to use.
What a difference! Modern, updated, new exhibits, lovely cafe! Lovely to see it with a new lease of life. So much to keep you entertained with some new additions to the centre. The reduced entry numbers help with allowing access to the exhibits. Favourites were the stop motion animation, the Robot building for the summer holidays and it's nice to see revamped "pooing sheep". Lots of sanitizing stations at exhibits and staff going round giving thing a quick clean where possible. A great morning out for all
We all adults and a 5 year old loved it. The place was not crowded it was a school half term, so we got to try everything we fancied. We spent 4 hours the and were still buzzing when leaving. The cafe on site was also very good not my usual experience. I highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
