A very nice place for Indian food specially south Indian food. The seating arrangement, look and feel all gives you vibes of Indian restaurant. You will not at all feel like you are in UK inside this restaurant. Food just tasted awesome. Staff is all Indian. You can also get some really great sweets like maisoor Pak and others. A must visit if missing Indian tasting Indian food.
Location is in a prime area, which is good for public transport users but with car might struggle to park nearby for free. Decent in size to have small to medium gatherings. The environment is very busy and chaotic mostly. Decoration is minimal to a standard. Cleanliness is at highest rate. Sitting arrangement is very conjugated yet good to enjoy food. Customer service is mostly forgetful to serve the food! Time to serve food is high because they forget! Food quality and taste is mostly good and serve quality is according to the traditional system. The North Indian thali's all the items were extremely tasty except the starter, the masala dosa was bellow average taste, the faluda was a disappoint. I will highly recommend the thali, enjoy
Definitely the best south Indian meal I had in the UK. Even the price was lesser compared to other south Indian restaurants. Enjoyed the food. Swift service even when the place was slightly crowded. Definitely recommend to try it out if you're in Wembley and looking for some south Indian food.
Good ambience, good South Indian food, we had Iddli, Masala Dosa and Channa Battoora. The Gobi Manchurian was not upto the mark as it was not properly cooked. A gesture of replacing ordered tea which was not upto the taste we asked for saved them from giving a negative review. The customer complaint was swiftly addressed.
Loved everything we had for lunch. The service was very good. They gave us extra sambhar for the idli at no charge which was a nice surprise!
Saravana bhavan means traditional South Indian cuisine. I have been to this same Saravana bhavan plenty of times. This time there was nothing traditional about the food. Utter tasteless, amateur cooking. Lost appetite even just with the starters- chili paneer for kids full of soy sauce and powdery. Sambar is always special here, however this time it was completely tasteless. No salt in any food especially dosa. I have attached the onion dosa photo look at it how big are the pieces cut and it was completely raw. We paid almost bucks for this. I am masala tea lover. However this time I decided to go against it and finish it with the best of all food we had today which is WATER. It tasted best out of the all we had. I am reinstating water because that bad the food was.
I feel like the taste has been compromised. The place is good to visit once in a while but I would choose any other place over SB if given an option. Otherwise great staff and it's crowded most of the time.
I visited Saravana Bhavan for their famous breakfast at 11am during the weekend. Located on the Ealing Road, I parked at the multi storey car park in the adjacent Montrose Crescent, which is secure and charges only a nominal £1/ hour. Despite being nearly full, the service was very quick and staff pleasant and friendly. The menu had an excellent spread of South Indian cuisine. I ordered my favourite Ghee dosa and medhu vadai, which were delicious. Cuisine was authentic South Indian and cost very reasonable. Overall it was a fantastic brunch experience. I would recommend this place highly to any connoisseur of South Indian cuisine.
I have been a regular at HSB for over 10 years. However first time in last 2-3 months. Mostly we eat here for authentic HSB taste of South Indian delicacies but once in a while roti-curry too. We have been so regular here that most of the old staff knows us by face. I understand we are going through the cost of living crisis, however recent experience has been truly startling. The price of all bread/ roti is more than 3 gbp, which is robbery for a high street, medium to lower range restaurant. Even Masalchi by Atul Kocchar located right outside Wembley Stadium, charges less than Sarvanabhavana. I was so shocked that I asked them is it by mistake, which was swiftly denied. The curry portion has gone super small too, and I found the taste but watered down.
For vegan/vegetarian this is one of the best in london. This is authentic South Indian restaurant but you can get some North Indian dishes too. I love mini idli and spring roll here.
