Sapore Vero

Delicious food and great service at this cosy local Italian. The tuna steak starter was superb and the wood fire pizzas were exactly what we were craving. The front of house team were great, even on a really busy night, and our waitress, Camilla, made us feel really special! Will definitely return soon! Love having a place like this in the local area. Vegetarian options: Good selection and staff were happy to adapt dishes to make vegetarian.

Very very fresh and authentic Italian food being served. The pizza in particular is thin yet juicy, and bursting with flavour; just like those I've tried in Italy! Amazing and will certainly visit again!

Very good experience. We tried the gnocchi and black truffle ravioli and both were incredible. The desert was also delicious and the staff was very friendly.

What a little gem of a place. The menu is extensive and the quality is amazing. A fantastic atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff, nothing was too much for them. We will be returning as often as possible.

A small place near the HG station. Good atmosphere with great selection of starters, pasta, pizza and desserts. I went for a special, a very meaty and spicy pizza. Tasty, burnt where it supposed to be burnt, quality meats and good cheese. Recommended.Food: 5/5

Fantastico! My go-to dish to sample at any new Italian restaurant is a Calzone pizza. Tonight's was the best and most memorable by far. Fluffy dough, perfect soft mozzarella, and a good dollop of passata and basil on the side. I'm going to salivate over this pizza for a while yet. A simple dish beautifully made. Coupled with a superb Italian golden beer - Midòna, and wonderful service from a hilarious and attentive chap, all in all this was a brilliant meal out. Shame we live 58 miles away! Sapore Vero is by far my favourite day to day Italian restaurant in London. It's a great step up from the original pizza van outside Hither Green station, which I also loved. I probably eat here or get takeout a couple of times a month and I've rarely been disappointed. The team are extremely friendly and the food is made with care and passion. I've brought Italian friends who've been extremely impressed. If you like a somewhat spicy pizza then I recommend the Pizza Sapore Vero which I'm addicted to, but everything I've eaten here has been great, so I don't think you can go far wrong. The prices hit the right balance for a restaurant in a local community, making it a great weekday treat or a lovely way to spend the weekend. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely spot! We will definitely be revisiting. The service was impeccable, all such lovely and attentive staff. The food was exceptional! We had the amazing burrata and fresh focaccia starter, the dough was amazing. And the special were delicious too! Coming back next weekend. Only bad thing was they only do cash tips, and we didn't have any cash but will definitely bring some next time. Thanks so much.

I've consistantly had an excellent experience with Sapore Vero in Hither Green. 100% always delicious, I feel like this is my best bet at having an Italian experience while in London, even if that sounds a bit cringe, it's how I feel! Prices are so reasonable and I love that it's an independent business too, it makes me even happier to spend my money here. Staff are always kind. They've been very generous in my experience :
